Clicking in the game to focus didn’t work in Chrome. I was able to get it to work in Firefox.

The memory or performance issue when in chrome happened when I tried going back to the main menu from the game when stuck at the space bar bit from the tutorial. The screen was just the dark blue background with no menu items and my computer’s fan spun up like crazy and eventually Chrome began asking if I wanted to kill the page or wait it out.

I had the same confusion – it would be good if you put the word “space” on it or showed a ghost of the rest of a keyboard around it.

Also, I can’t get it to work. If I’m not fullscreen, space scrolls down the page. If I am fullscreen, nothing happens.

(Also something appears to be leaking memory like crazy even though nothing has happened yet…)

It’s a nice start, but midway through the third rebirth it seems to always run out of memory and crash. You may need to look into some sort of autosave mechanism to avoid folks losing progress, as well as memory cleanup and performance work on it. But it’s a fun idea!

The RNG hates me. :(

Also found a bug: if you get game over and then start a new game, your weapon will retain the usage from the previous run. Sucks going into a new run with only 2 knife uses left before it breaks…

Fun demo so far. It would be nice if underneath the round money total, in smaller text size, you put the total money that the player will have at the end of the round including previous round earnings.

Very fun, great aesthetics, and plenty of puzzles to keep one entertained for hours. Love the added layers, but slightly annoyed I couldn’t finish before needing to go to bed. Tomorrow, hopefully… :)

I like the idea and aesthetics, but would love it if there was a way to bump up the brightness just a hair – having trouble being able to see the game. :(

Generally word games disallow proper nouns like names of people or places.

Howdy, I recently bought and was able to run the latest pro download on the latest Fedora release. It runs windowed and isn’t too small – I haven’t tried it fullscreen or scaled yet, but it should work as long as you chmod +x the binary after unzipping it.
