Okay. So since you're on PC Chrome, are you able to zoom out? You can press and hold CNTRL on the keyboard then use the scrollwheel on your mouse, or hit the little magnifying glass up by the favorites star and zoom out.

On the save screen - what device are you using? It works for me on PC Windows, Tablet iOS, iPhone, and Android without issue. 

On the mobile, the save screen will take up the entire screen, but it lists all 8 slots for you to save / load, and there's a white x at the top right to close out.
