I don't know why, but this really has a vibe like it needs some of that 3-point N64 texture filtering.

Because the loop can repeat an unknown number of times, you get random times spent to roll the dice.
For 4, you could do 'if $Roll > 4, $Roll = $Roll - 4'
For 6, you can use 24 and subtract 6 from it repeatedly until it's 6 or less (or, if it's >12 you subtract 12, and if >18 subtract 18, I'm not sure which ends up more efficient in the end). For 12 you can use 24 again, but just subtract 12.
For 10 and 20, 40's your best bet, I suppose.
Assuming generating a number between 1 and 40 doesn't take terribly long, this is basically just using "mod" but by way of subtraction so you don't need to do any division on a GameBoy.
While you're still doing a bit of looping, you're at least guaranteed to never do the loop more than a fixed number of times.
I know this is a slightly weird question, but I always like to see things how their creator imagined them when I can. So like... visually, should I be setting things up for "pure" colors, colors desaturated to imitate the GBC effect, an actual GBC screen (or emulation thereof), a GBA screen (or emulation thereof), or some other way? Like, I get this is fiddly and all, and also that "what looks good for me" is probably a general "right answer." But I always want to like... try to see things how the person who made it saw or imagines it?
Any chance this could get a feature to update an existing smooshed wad? Like, a feature to add Sigil II to one that has everything else? It's not a huge deal, but it still takes a little while to get everything downloaded from Steam again, all the files in the folder again, etc.
Not that I expect a Sigil III or anything, but like... I didn't expect a Sigil II. And it also might benefit people who like... eventually buy a copy of The Master Levels, or whatnot, and just want to add them in.
If you pick up both games, is the collection shared? Or would you have to double up on each ghost in order to have it everything visible in both of them?
Also, if you *do* need to collect each ghost for each version, is there a way to trade with yourself (either via ghostnet, or internally) rather than having to involve another person in some way
