I've been trying the game every-other-patch or so and keep running into the same exact end - the servered hands.  They have too much HP for something that splits into 3s and is as evasive as it is.  Getting two or three of those in a room (which turns into 6-9 mini-hands to chase down) is what ends almost all of my runs.

Would you mind adding a configuration option to allow rebinding the Map hotkey?  M is kind of a reach for one-handed play, using something like Tab would rule.

Thanks for the quick turn around on that hand bug.  I think you might have set the default stage to the ramparts to test or something, since downloading the hotfix a new game has been starting on stage 7 for me.  Also got a bug where one of the worms spawned outside of a room and didn't get auto-killed

Seems to be a bug with the hand enemies where they disappear on grapple, and their slow stacks and never falls off.  Eventually makes the character immobile.

I've been a patreon for....probably close to a year at this point.  If you're on the fence, I think it's worth supporting.  MKM does better posts than most patreon developers, and has a quality release every month.   Not to mention the quality of their work is just good.

Tech debt can be exciting to pay off ;)

So none of the pit boss attacks can be countered?  His head is off screen so, can't really tell

Is the counter window like a single frame?  It's crazy hard to pull off on a lot of bosses, which is frustrating because you can't progress beyond a certain point without pulling it off.  Really needs some difficulty scaling or to make the counter mechanism easier to pull off
