Not really! This is one aspect that I couldn't focus on as much as I wanted to due to the time constraints of the jam. But at least I realized in time that the decks feel much better with more copies of the same card, as it reduces the impact of "bad rng".

The highest score I've seen is from my brother, who scored 257 on the Dark Sky deck with two Giants stomping over two Hovels drawn early on. :D

Thank you so much! This is the best score posted in the comments here so far, I think. :D
I will check out your game later today, off to my day job now.

Great work on a solid retro-style game - conceptually simple yet a lot of fun! I particularly like the variety of enemy designs with their different behaviours and thus required strategies. Would have probably played it a lot on a handheld as a kid. :D

Thank you, appreciate that! Fantasy Realms is a great game - I haven't played it in a while but I remember that I was impressed by how much depth they achieved with fairly simple card mechanics.

Very neat doodle-jump-style game!

Very fun deckbuilder with a very unique theme, lovely visual art and sound effects, and some nice details! Well done! :)

Very stylish presentation (both in game and the amazing cover/logo art here) and I had fun playing it. A nice take on the emerging  "score x multiplier" card game genre - well done!

Thank you! Means a lot coming from someone who also made a great card game! :D

Great to hear, thank you for playing and your nice comment! :) Checking out your game now!

Fun mini/microgame-a-thon type of game! Love the cute art and animations and I think your chosen minigames present a good mix of interactions. Well done! :)

Very fun game and hits the jam theme perfectly! It took me a few tries to realize what I'm meant to do which then felt hilarious. I think this might be a really rare case of a game that's frustratingly unpredictable but in a fun way - well done! A detail I liked is how you integrated your logo into the game at the start. :D

Amazing to hear, thank you so much!

A really nice and creative take on the "number x multiplier" format! :D As a researcher, I also appreciate the science theme. And I think this is one of the strongest entries in the jam in terms of theme (but the other categories also score highly in my view). Well done!

Thank you for your comment, very happy to hear that the game mechanics resonated with a fellow card game dev! I've played and rated your game earlier, great job as well!

Thank you for playing and your kind words on the game and visual art, really made me smile! I'm now thinking about expanding the game. :)

Wow, this is very well done! Love the calm atmosphere with the sounds and visuals and the gameplay that's easy to understand but still engaging. I haven't played all levels yet but can see myself coming back to it! Great jam entry! :)

Great game concept and art! I've played a few of these "behind the counter" games and enjoyed figuring out what the goblins want in yours. Took me a while and it was fun!

Thank you for playing and your kind comment! I felt very inspired by the jam theme and hope to find the time to keep working on the game. :)

Nice concept and take on the jam theme! The art is also great, with the simple yet fun character (and the logo is really good as well!). I found the game quite difficult - perhaps I'm just not very good at it but I think a more gentle difficulty curve would have helped me.

Unique game concept and great execution! I also loved the intro where the colleague shows you around the office, this felt very "alive" to me! :D

It's a simple but fun concept! :) Could be a fun party game in a multiplayer contexts, either standalone or maybe as a minigame in some other project. Also, I vaguely remember a few physical card games that go in this direction but I haven't seen a digital game with a concept like that.

Very cute game and the slime is fun to interact with! Took me a few tries to figure out how the sliders need to be coordinated, which I think is cool for a game like that! :)

Fun concept and intro! It's super hard though (and I'm probably very bad at it), level 2 seemed already impossible to me with the given time. :D

Cool vibe! You've done a great job on both the visual art and the music! The interactions feel playful and nice, with some neat details (e.g. floating, pushing, the impact while mining and that it's a radius-tool so you can try to optimize where to click to get multiple hits in one). At first I thought it's a bit slow but the upgrades are quite powerful so it escalates nicely.

Love the concept, very unique and great take on the jam theme I think. Apparently, I'm a very bad doctor but the remarks / voice acting was all worth it! :D

Thank you so much for checking out the game and your kind words! Especially if this isn't your favourite genre!

Thank you! Glad to hear that, I've tried my best with e.g. the tooltips and the intro deck but in a jam this also means cutting time from other things. Happy to hear it was worth it!

Hi all, thank you for the jam experience!

I've just submitted my entry "Crumbling Crowns" here: https://dabudev.itch.io/crumbling-crowns

It's my first game on itch (and public game project in general). If you have any feedback and ideas, I'm happy to hear them!

Now I'm looking forward to playing your games over the week!
