Played a lot to "Palm island", a solo ressources gestion card game which you play in the palm of your hand (No table needed, you can play it standing in the subway)

You can play either the first or second card of the deck. And when you play a card you put it behind the deck after tapping (90°), flipping (face down) or reversing (180°) it.

I want to take the same direction. Since the material I thinking with is a classic card game, the "reversing" part is not usable. But flipping and tapping are mechanicals ideas to think about.

OK just found what are images 5 and 6 !

In Pompeii there is a temple to Jupiter with an "eternal torch" (5th). If the torch goes out, it will anger Jupiter (6th).

The goal is to save the torch.

Lava is blocking path extending the journey, Ashes threatens the torch. And time runs out !

I have now the complete "story" of the game. Next step : play with cards to "translate" this in mecanichs.

I make a new post to put my reflexions.

From this my first thought is something about time travel in Pompeii. Some race against the destruction of the city by the Vesuvius eruption.

I'm intriguing by the fifth and sixth images... Don't know yet what the fifth is and how Jupiter's lightning can be mix with time travel...

07/11/2019 (yes I'm French and i put the month in second place)

I think i change my mind on the time travel. Perhaps it will come back later but now it's giving my no idea.

Get the volcano (3rd) and the lava stream (4th). If Time (1st) is a ressource to avoid Death (2nd), i imagine using a classic card game as material.

Drawing to achieve the goal (fleeing ?) before the end of the deck. The cards in the deck are like the sand in the hourglass.

Diamonds and Hearth (reds) can symbolise lava. Clubs and pique (french name, sorry, i forgot the english one) are black and can symbolise Ashes. Figure can symbolise people to save or human events.

These are just reflexions, ideas to not forget them.
