If after restarting your activated rank reverts back to 'Uncensored' then you likely have an issue with corrupted Ren'Py files from other RenPy installations. To confirm: Do any changes you make to the 'Preferences' options persist after you restart the game? Try this simple test:

• Toggle the 'Disable optional NTR' option
• Restart the game
• See if your change is applied or not.

If your changes do not persist, then we'll have to reset your AppData/Roaming/RenPy folder (assuming you are on Windows) by deleting the tokens folder.
