I started making this game around the halfway point of the jam after deciding to scrap my original idea because I wasn't happy with how it was turning out.
The main inspiration came from a game I saw on Twitter that had blood splatters which stayed on the screen. I thought that effect looked really satisfying, so I built the game around that idea.
One of my favorite parts of development was creating the art and experimenting with the visual style. I wanted the game to feel fast, punchy, and satisfying to play.
The biggest challenge was balancing. I spent a lot of time adjusting the economy, enemies, bosses, and upgrades based on feedback to keep the game fun throughout the run.
I coulsnt watch the part where my game got reviewed but i wanted to answer some things, uhh first off the characters are not teeth theyre just how i drewlil guys, there are in total 6 bosses, anyway i really liked the stream
