thanks for the info.  i just learned that tafl was played on 13x13 board and my tafl board is only 11x11.  I will have to make that change

Follow-up balance note: Odin has now been improved as well. The top AI searches deeper, gives up less opening tempo, and responds more aggressively when the king is close to an escape route. If you were able to beat Odin in the earlier browser build, this update should feel noticeably tougher.

New browser build is live. This update improves onboarding with a guided in-game tutorial, adds a clearer learn-to-play path for new Tafl players, tightens the UI flow, and strengthens Odin so the top AI is much less forgiving. I also refreshed the packaged build and kept the browser upload leaner. If you try it, I’d love feedback on the tutorial and AI difficulty.

Tutorial is added, please take a look and let me know if you have any other feedback.

you should add a high score tracker

King's Table just got a big atmosphere and setup pass. The browser build now has a cleaner match setup strip, stronger battlefield selection cards, updated audio controls, and a more stable Dark Hall theme toggle. Would love feedback on readability, setup flow, and AI difficulty.  Also created a Hall Honors for in game badges.  How many badges can you earn?

Interesting i knew about tafl but never taflkast.  I like these older games and made a tafl game myself

the orc sounds are scary lol

I wonder the best way for AI, I'm working on AI for my game as well.

cool game, i like the music.  how did you create it i'm looking for good music for my game

fun game, i was not sure what to do at first but i figured it out

Please have a look at my game and let me know what features, improvements you want next.  I am actively developing this game and this is just the first iteration.

those are good ideas, i will work to incorporate that.

do you have any feedback?  What would you like to see next:  I plan on much more development based on feedback

very cool, reminds me of the arcade game galaga i think it was called

I’ve been experimenting with Tafl variants recently as well.  Its a very interesting game

I’ve been experimenting with Tafl variants recently as well. — it’s interesting how much the escape rules change the game.  Also i like how you added the Orcs into the story.  Also the AI is a challenge, i need to work on mine as well

I’ve been digging into Hnefatafl lately myself — the balance between sides is trickier than it looks.

Curious how you approached balancing this — seems like small rule tweaks could change everything.

nice game, it seems to have the same kind of mood and genre as my game.  My game is related to Vikings.  I like the music.

Nice work — always interesting seeing different takes on strategy games.

Nice implementation — I’ve been experimenting with Tafl variants recently and it’s interesting how different rule sets change the strategy.

Curious how you approached balance?
