I’m a bit confused. Does the bomb explode no matter what you do?

Hi! I reached the first puzzle chapter and solved it—it said I got the password, but I think I may have misunderstood something. The bomb exploded. I couldn’t find an option to restart the chapter, and I’d prefer not to replay the earlier chapters again.
