I really like the mechanics of the game though the movement is a bit jarring and I noticed that if the boxes are even slightly tilted you can't jump and just slide down them. I enjoy being able to freeze your bodies as well as the variety of obstacles in this short game that it pits against you for you to apply that towards and I think it has promise if this is the start :)

I loved this as a first entry and I, as this jam being my first time actually getting a project out the door and being vaguely playable as well, relate quite a lot to this. Even towards the end of this one I nearly gave up a time or two thinking I wouldn't be able to get something in and only just managed it by the skin of my teeth. But I hope that as it was for me you also got the same sense of accomplishment when you finished this too and you deserve it. Keep on the good work :)
I played it and rated/commented so here is mine :) the end is a bit broken though so it just flashes Thanks for Playing and is also short but I hope you enjoy it anyways :) https://itch.io/jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3738662
This was a rather cute little game, I quite liked the font for the action prompts. It was very quirky and fit well with the light, fun vibe of the game and the dialogue was nice as well. The movement animations were also quite good as well and it was easy enough to follow what I was supposed to be doing.
I quite liked this, the level design is excellent and the scaling of the difficulty with each level feels quite good as well letting you learn and become better over time. The art style is charming and I love the little touches for the mouse buttons showing what the prompts are for when hovering over the actors and such. All of this wrapped up in some very nostalgic old school graphic design straight from my childhood makes this a lovely gem. Well done :)
This one hit right to home for me but in a good way. I've struggled with my mental health for years and part of the reason I decided to pick up game development was to give myself something tangible to exercise healthier ways of coping with... all of the above and more as well as pursuing something I feel much more in love with than I expected to. The emotional beats to this hit on every level for me personally, from the 'Done > Perfect' to all the clutter and screens even, the mess of signs and even the path of those previous failures leading you onward were just emaculate. Not only were they excellently designed, the artistry fit perfect with each theme and the music hitting the right beats but the mechanic in the very last one especially slammed it out of the park. Deeply emotional, inventive, uplifting playing this was a wonderful experience and I'm not a fan of precision platformers at all. Amazing job :)
I quite enjoyed this one, the audio cues were very good and how you could inadvertently obscure them while starting the car is a nice touch to keep the tension up the whole way through. Got me a couple times too with the scares but I had a good time with it. Very good game that is a clever take on the theme too.
I quite like the opening there, interacting with the actual cockpit buttons as your reanimation is being explained even down to having to be taught to due so being the result of said process was a nice little narrative touch as well. It feels like a good start to something fun and interesting and I quite enjoyed it. :)
It's a neat little idea though I only understand it by accident having to build with the mouse click. I like how you have to be careful with managing your block resource and can span it out to keep going longer with single blocks the slime can climb. Though it feels a little difficult to place blocks further apart even when you place your mouse further away but I rather enjoyed this game :)
This is quite a cute little idea and it is quite an interesting game to play as well. I quite enjoy that there is more than just pushing them in the right direction and you can effectively use the other snails to extend your timer and help get yourself into a better position to get all the crabs shelled. The music is downright charming as well for it. However it does seem that Levels 3 and 4 don't complete when the crabs all have shells and the quit button just causes the game to freeze up. But overall I liked it.
The idea I had was to have you cycle through and progress the bars but it was kind of an eleventh hour idea I rushed in at the last because I didn't want it to just boil down purely to dialogue. Me and my wife very much plan to continue making this further though now that we've had our rest. Thank you and I am glad you liked at least some of what we managed to cobble together and I will be doing more to explain how the different mechanics of the bars integrate with both each other and the player's statuses.
The end with the 'Thanks for Playing' is it, I tried to get it to que itself free and return to main menu but I was very tired and didn't get it right lol. That is all there is though at this time. I've taken a couple days off since because I really grinded hard on this but I've started to go back and look at what I put in and some starts to clean it up (I had a lot of spaghetti, or what I would describe as such at least lol, and it made things very difficult). Oh really? I will 100% try that, that issue with scaling has been a thorn in my neck. Thanks for that :)
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it. The last bit I had was an idea that came to me close to the end so I wasn't able to fully finish it but once I get a bunch of my spaghetti cleaned up and reorganize some of how it is structured I'll be building on it and testing it further to make sure it all runs properly.
