Id love if you kept working on this game after the jam is over!
I ended up playing this game a lot more than i initially thought i would so i found a few things that might be overpowered

as i mentioned in a different comment where i got >200 trillion score, its pretty easy to rig your entire deck to be made of 6 fives and that way guarantee a jackpot every round. by the way, im not sure if its a bug or intentional to stop players from rigging the outcomes, but one card in the deck never seems to able to be played (and isnt in the discard pile either), so for example having 5 fives in your deck would always get you -20 then your deck will run out

because of how easy it is to guarantee a perfect round every time, going all in every round (and in the first few just hoping you win) is absolutely the most op strategy and gets you effectively infinite money by round 6-ish if you do it right

making all cards 5s is really easy mostly because of one reason:

rerolling and thinning the deck never gets more expensive. if you have enough money you can easily spam it in one turn to get your deck exactly how you want it, and buy whatever numbers you want. by thinning one card and buying a five round 1, then buying 3 more across the next 2 rounds at the end of round 3 youre already ready to have a deck of only 5s, and if you went all in every round before hand your money should be alright too

as for feedback:

i think first of all subsequent rerolls and thins should cost more (you could take a peak at common clicker/idle game upgrade formulas to get some inspiration), although this should reset every round

if you want to stop the 5s strategy you can simply make the base target number prime (like 23 for example), or just have it change some rounds. if you dont want the strategy to be impossible, i still think you should make it more difficult somehow because it is far too easy to pull off

as for the betting mechanic... Yeah i think its way too op. I like how you can bet your money on the outcome and risk having no money next round but the payout is way too high and super consistent if you build a deck of low numbers (or ofc 5s)

Sorry for the really long message, I really would love to play a slightly more balanced version of the game with a few additions, it really did keep me coming back to optimize my score. If you want any specific ideas for stuff id be happy to try to think up something fun, just comment to my comment or something ill probably see it :)

thanks again for making this game

ok this is the last one i uploaded, A lot of minmaxing later and I got 242 trillion score and so close to 1 billion $

for anyone who wants to get something similar the best strategy I found is getting 6 fives as early on as possible (that way getting 0 every round is guaranteed), and once you have enough money rolling for getting them all suited and as many jackpots and mirrors as possible

in this one i think i only had 3 rounds that werent jackpots so youll have to get VERY lucky to beat the amount of money I got, but 1 billion $ is definitely doable (and a higher score just depends on how much youre willing to reroll the shop)

thanks a lot for making this game i had a lot of fun with it!

13 trillion score and 57 million dollars

I'd love to see that if you end up making it :)

(although maybe also nerf daydreaming its super easy to get it to 0s cooldown and ridiculous output lol)

very cool game but the sensitivity is super high and theres no way to reduce it, and i keep losing even though i dont think im making too much noise

still really cool and original

I didnt expect it to work so well but it was surprisingly fun

The faster fights make you need to focus fully and get into the rhythm rather than think or react, and thats really cool

Made me want to fry the bird

Best game ive played so far in the jam, genuinely amazingly made and polished

the art is amazing, music is great, and the minigames are designed really well

super fun, 5s all across the board

what does a guy do with 250 thousand dollars

Thanks!
We ended up being a bit tight on time so we didnt manage to finish a tutorial, its definitely not on you. I would have liked to add a few more things to help explain what is going on to the player but some of the features were added last second

Amazing game, its super polished and all the effects are explained very clearly and in-detail

only thing stopping it from being perfect is the lack of music - but the satisfying sound effects make up for it

The art is great, but the jump feels a little janky

Music is a banger

Those naturals are huge

The puns are great and it has a very impressive amount of content for such a short time frame

Like a lot of other people I found the bosses too easy (or maybe the player too strong), but the platforming felt good and the slight freeze and effect when you get hit is very satisfying

Not sure if it was a bug but after the very start of the game there was no music at all which is a shame

cool game, i like that you have multiple ways to solve each level (although you can usually skip a few inputs by just using lots of subtraction lol)

it feels very polished, I just wish there were more levels

Thanks for playing, We're glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting game and mechanics, but the perspective made the last part frustrating

overall great, the impending doom and bodies littered everywhere gave it a very good atmosphere

Nice and fun, the sound effect for the countdown is very satisfying

Aside from it being quite easy once you get more ammo, it feels very satisfying to defend and attack

very fun, and the enemy evolution mechanic is interesting

I think one thing that could be improved is communicating the enemy spawn locations a little better, because I found myself running into them right as they spawned which was frustrating

great game altogether

did i do it :)

Cool take on the theme, i'm glad to see some well made clicker games
Only thing that bothered me is that it stops to congratulate you every 24h which gets annoying when you get that much in one second lol

We're glad you enjoyed it!

We sadly didn't have time to fix the music looping and a few other small things so they got left in, I hope it wasn't too annoying during the longer battles

Thanks a lot for playing

Thanks for playing, the descriptions are definitely unclear, im not sure how we missed that. We really appreciate the feedback

free my boy Göby he did nothing wrong

amazing

Very clean and well made, in a way it felt like a rhythm game

the puzzles are clever and fun

movement is fun, with a little polish and maybe some more variation it would be perfect

I would have liked for it to be more challenging, you can usually get to the end just by spamming jump and attack, and the heartbeat is basically never a worry

still super fun and a cool artstyle

Amazing game
music is great, sprites are nice
I had a lot of fun and the sheep looked like they were too

nothing scarier than the agent wreaking havoc after i missed 0.2 points of sleep

cool game, its very fun
The cageworks tend to hide inside the walls and are difficult to reach with the sword, but aside from that all the enemies feel interesting and fun
I like running into the last few enemies to save some time

Really well made game, I wouldn't have guessed it was made in 4 days. moving around the cards felt a little slow, but that might just be an issue with the web version.

Great stuff!

very cool game, the music is nice and the mechanics are introduced in a great way, its a shame its so short

the frog is very cute

Thanks a lot for the feedback, we're glad you enjoyed it - we had a blast making it.
