super valid, ty. i played it so much during development i think i got too desensitized and then kinda forgot how vague and opaque it felt to get hit lolll.

ahh that's super helpful! prioritizing music/sound early instead of saving for later is genius. tysm <3

death drop splits ftw! so funny. jeeeeze this game is good. i could hardly progress, i kept dying cause i was so distracted by the art, music, sounds, animations, etc. you nailed the retro vibe. rly rly good.

hahah this is great.

since a lot of ppl are struggling with the difficulty...wanted to post a quick yt video (~20seconds long) of some cheese strats.

TLDW: teleport/jump/slide can all be used together, back-to-back, to generate nearly infinite i-frames. and then the turtles will change direction based on where you are, relative to them, the relevant lane.

thanks for playing and for the feedback!

tysm!

my initial vision was to include more spells / power-ups and 'slow time' is a great idea - so ty for the feedback. i will definitely check yours out!! i'm loving getting to see everyone's games and the comments are so fun! :)

really appreciate that, thank you! and great feedback about i-frames, i was getting pretty frustrated towards the end getting it to feel polished haha so ya a very valid critique.

i'm proficient in Reaper (DAW), but i have yet to add music / sound to any of my games and this jam made me realize how important it is. next game i def want to commit to not cutting my sound scope haha.

I'm excited to check out your game! the cover art looks to dieeee for.

great concept, really enjoyed it.

really fun! very much enjoyed my runs. i love the design of the main character and turtles too, so cute! :)

really enjoyed playing it! music is great and concept is cool.

great animations, music, and concept!

oh, obsessed. the vibe is great. the music great. art great. starry sky, beautiful. love the concept. the design. well done.

very cool concept! well done :)

really fun! love the turtle and enemy designs and the power-ups are cool.

solo dev, 2nd gamejam, and 4th game. tysm! :))))))))))))

looks like 16x16 to me

tysm Theo! it was a fabulous jam <3

Chloe and Theo!! this is my favorite gameplay so far, it felt like a fun rhythm game. i went dps + loot route and had a great time - beat it on my first try, but never felt like i could afford to let my guard down.
great job with the game and with facilitating the jam <3

ahh you're the best ty!!

i did not realize there was an ending on initial play, so i replayed it - totally worth it.

oh i'm obsessed with this. it's totally Salad Finger vibes i was dead on. the concept is sooo good! and even with it being "unfinished", it still ultimately fits with the vibe of the game. it rly came together well and i felt like there was a solid amount of art. the sound is great too. rly cool!!

ya the art looks great!

ur pixel art is so good!! i'm learning pixel and it's hard, but i'm slowly getting the hang of it....and ya you gotta beat it pre-nerf - glhf it's hard! lol

took me 9 tries!!! i literally had to sleep on it each night and try again the next day so that my brain could think of different strategies lol cause ohhhyy my that's hard haha. the sounds and art are incredible. the victory is satisfying. so good.

oh dang, tysm! i've been working on my creative writing recently, so i'm rly happy to hear you enjoyed the writing.

ah nice, i'm glad to hear it.
P.S. i love ur art sm!

oh woah love the pixel art...am also very jealous of the pixel art lol i'm learning and it's hard! the music and sfx were also rly good too and game is executed well.

hey thank you! i <3 ur bunnies lol

i very much appreciate the feedback, thank you Pff.

ha! thank you!

ahh that makes me so happy to hear! tysm for playing and for the feedback <3

the way my fingers were click-clack-clackin' across my keyboard is a testament to how badly i wanted to beat this game; i got soooo close on my second try, but alas, victory is fickle -  tho i will very likely return to beat it soon.

love the art, the music and it's buildup, the gameplay, the difficulty. i still don't really know what's happening and honestly, i don't wanna know, cause that's the fun of it, trial and error with different strategies until i win.

really great job! gives me Overcooked vibes .

ty otter! i was not familiar with Chip's Challenge, but i've educated myself via youtube and i lovee the comparison.

my favorite game of the jam so far and i'm thrilled to announce that i managed to beat it with a Total score of 16070. the art, the level design, the difficulty, the uniqueness of power-ups (that then also change the look of your bee in a meaningful way!?), etc., etc., etc.; i loved watching my Bee fly down rainbow road with a steel helmet, cozy robe, and an ice warfan.
