Just got Course of the Pharao some days ago. If I could make a wish it would be awesome if you could include a Joystick mode this time.
Maybe with a selection screen?
I understand that many youngsters want to play with a gamepad and jump with the fire button but since the mid 80s, the up direction on the Joystick was established for jumping and it feels wrong and unintuitive to jump with fire ;)
(Although I know some people argue that many games from 82 or 83 did this, too :D )
Seems to be a nice game 👍But why oh why do I have to press the FIRE button when I want to jump?
I know there are fewer and fewer people who know what a Joystick is and only know gamepads, but it would be cool if you could add a "C64 mode" with normal input to the game 😉
This game is so awesome 😍 I love the Hires graphics, the animation, the sound... everything ;)
Is it intentional that there is no manual so that you have to find out every trick of your own? ;) I'm not sure what to do with the portable objects...
I have a brand new Mega65 from the latest batch with ROM V920395 and downloaded the latest R13 archive two times. But there seems to be something wrong with the .d81 image.
My Mega65 seems to mount the image, but when I try to copy it to an actual 3.5" disk, the Floppy/d81 Imager V1.7 from Intro disk #3 can't read the image (in contrary to all other images on the sd card).
When I start the game I can hit Return and get an answer, but when I enter any word it just freezes.
May I ask how you play it? I have problems with both the R12 and R13 of the Mega65 versions. One can't save, the other freezes and crashes when typing in commands :(
