Oh, that was an issue I noticed too.
But here the problem is different, these are three screenshots of the same two nodes. You can see that after I connect and then disconnect velocity, the effect from velocity stays applied.

If I connect an acceleration node to particles, they correctly start accelerating. but disconnecting the acceleration after that doesn't remove the effect



This could be very fun in multiplayer, zero G obstacle course sounds awesome!
