Additionally, I encountered this back in Section 1, but if you go back to the ruins where Frisk fell onto the flowerbed after the Toriel stuff, you get stuck in the very first animation with Susie again. Or, at least, Susie gets stuck. My Kris was just off-screen. 

There's an invisible barrier just past the nice cream cart in Section 3, on the side of the map where the mole is.

I'm a mac user and I played this game 2 years ago and returning to it today! Use crossover :) It has a free trial. I paid for yearly like two years ago and it hasn't charged me since that year which is weird but whatever, it still very much works!
