Hi! I’m Cero and I’m looking to recruit members for the yaoi game jam this year. 

Synopsis:

After a magic ritual goes wrong, your partner becomes possessed by a demon of enormous power; all this demon wants is to find you and kill you. The tower is now riddled with demons and danger. You try to escape, but you could try and save him; the demon won’t make this easy. Inspired by roguelike games, the idea is to explore the mansion looking for the right items to either escape or save your partner while trying to survive the monsters. 

What we are looking for:

• Sprite artist - We are looking for someone that can also draw monsters, the character will have stages where they are more monster than person.
• Monsters sprite artist -
• Gui artist -  
• Composer - We are looking for someone to compose one main piece and make a few variations of it for the different routes.

Synopsis: 

Two paranormal investigators go to a cemetery to find the final piece of a case they've been working on for the last few months. Tonight, there is not only a full moon in a clear sky after months of terrible weather, but it is also a rare blue moon. This might be their only chance at solving the case. Despite everything, for some reason, Theo seems to be less interested in the case than he normally would be. [MC] is worried about him, they've been friends since they were kids, and he’s been acting a bit out of character. Could he be possessed? Maybe what they are investigating is not a spirit, but something nefarious masquerading as a one. Regardless, she has to find the real answer and help her friend. Let’s hope this case doesn’t become their last.

MC: 

A talented medium born with an innate power to talk with spirits since she was a young girl. She used to be terrified of her visions and the voices she hears, but her best friend has always been there for her.

Theo:

 Mc’s best friend since they were toddlers. Their families were neighbours so they became fast friends. He is the only person she has ever told about her powers, and also he is the one that encouraged to become a paranormal investigator to help the poor souls pass to the afterlife peacefully. When they arrive at the cemetery, the normally cheerful Theo is very sombre and broody, which is completely out of character for him. He says he is just tired.

Genre: Horror, tragedy and romance.

Mechanics: 

Instead of traditional options the player can choose between having a more emotionalvs having a more logical response. This is inspired by the game sweet pool.

Hi I’m Cero and I’m looking to form a team for the SWAK game jam. Here is a small pitch for the story: 

Captain Blackbeard was betrayed and killed during a mutiny, now he finds himself at the bottom of the ocean facing a siren that offers him revenge. The price is very high, to live the rest of eternity as a monster that terrorizes pirates even while they sleep safely on land. A story that questions how far someone is willing to go for their sake of revenge. They can let go of the anger and resentment or they can embrace it.

Characters: 

Siren: 

Sirens are monstrous creatures that are born from sailors killed at sea, they are filled with hatred and resentment. They live at the bottom of the sea among the remnants of the shipwrecks they caused. Sirens are smart and cunning, they offer contracts to new victims in order to reproduce and feed on those negative emotions. Future sirens have to offer their last breath through a kiss in order to obtain the powers to enact their revenge on those who wronged them. 

Blackbeard: 

Loosely based on the real life pirate that lived through the 1680s. A cunning man that used his terrifying appearance instead of violence to elicit fear in his victim. After months at sea food became scarce and a few new crew members decided they did not want to take orders from him anymore and a mutiny ensued. Now he finds himself at the bottom of the sea, with the offer to finally embrace the violence he so vehemently rejected for decades in order to enact violence on those who wronged him, or accept death and let his body be consumed by the sea he loved.

Summary:

A girl summons a demon basically by accident thinking nothing would happen and when she does it turns out she summoned an incredibly novice demon with no experience. The human is a seasoned serial killer that starts messing with her because of how squamish she is over the corpse.

I know this might be a silly question but I was reading about the mood being and I want to ask if it has to start with a somber mood or can the mood become somber. For example death happens within the story and goes from what ever mood it had before to something more melancolic given the situation.

Content warnings 

 Gore, mentions of cannibalism, death, depictions of discrimination.

Gameplay: Visual novel, point and click adventure. 

Genre: Boy’s love, horror, mystery.

Summary:

Things have been going missing in the apartment complex 9, making everyone uneasy. The player takes the role of one of the residents and tries to take matters into their own hands but the real mystery will be much bigger that they could ever imagine.

In order to progress they will need to collaborate with their strange neighbors and learn from their perspective and use their unique abilities to find different clues.

In a shady neighborhood set between two major cities that exist at odds with each other; a run down apartment complex is inhabited by different beings from the underworld and upper world with their irreconcilable differences. Will they be able to put their differences aside?  Or will forces beyond their comprehension win?
