Hi, and thanks for your reply. I honestly don't remember what went wrong and didn't look at the console. I can tell that I chose "export project" and I renamed the main file to index.html. But then itch only showed a black page. I also chose "kind of project" as html and ticked "this file will be played in the browser" and saved changes. I don't remember if I put all files in the same folder.

That said, it is too late now, maybe next time. :) But thank you again for replying

A very nice, original and well-packaged game! ^__^

Thank you very much! ^__^

Thanks for your support!

The button "info" gives you some info on gameplay such as controls and some hints.

I've been making games for a couple of years so most of the "polishing" you see is just copypasta from previous projects :P

Really a nice game!

seems a coold idea but no main found, other execs don't work due to a lib missing. Keep trying bro, respect for making a game in raylib

Fun fact I tried adding the web exported and it does not work. I have never exported web games with godot so god knows what's not working. Whatever... Sorry guys but if you wanna check my entry you'll have to download it! :\

I have realized that most challengers made a web app. Maybe this is the preferred way, err... sorry. Is it possible to *replace* the game in my page with a web embedded version? The game would be the same just exported for web instead windows.

I really enjoyed trying this game. Well done!

Really nice game.

Nice game. Maybe a little bit slow especially when you are outside of battle.

I played only the first levels and I would like to ask you, do later levels share the same layout? In lower levels it's basically square rooms with single hallways: no mazes, no inner obstacles or traps, etc.  Is it so only because the first levels are supposed to be introductory ones? Or is it so also in later levels? Because as for the first levels, the environment does not pose any puzzle or challenge (traps? obstacles that force clever positioning?), so the game gets repetitive.

Please take these as constructive criticism! This is of course a 7drl so the game is expected to be minimalistic. But the basic idea is nice! :)

Man how do I play it. I used mouse to select character then?

I tried arrows I tried mouse I tried WASD, nothing. Then I tried I dunno, K or like that, I moved down, fine, but then a goblin started kicking me. How do I attack? In other rl you usually press towards the enemy how do I do it here? The goblin killed me. Pls add infos on the keyboard layout thnx

Sorry!!! :D

I had to SCROLL DOWN to actually see it. XD

sorry again

I can see the jam has already started. But here in Italy it is still Feb 27th, 6:54 pm! :(

Am I doing something wrong?

Oh! So there will be a submit button. Thank you very much for your precise reply. Best regards!

Greetings to everyone. I have been a solo developer for a couple of years and this is my very first jam. I love procedurally generated content and I have been working with it since my very first game.

I would appreciate if someone could clarify a couple of points to me. Sorry if the questions are trivial but I'd like to be very sure to not make any stupid mistake.

1. I have a precise, simple and stupid, idea in mind for this jam; an idea that revolves on routines, graphics and sounds I already implemented in previous games. Is it fair if I recycle (almost entirely *cough*) routines for procedural generation, or for character movement, or for inventory management, or for bullet movement/exploding/special effects such as chaining, forking, dealing critical strikes, from previous games?

The game itself is completely new; the core mechanics revolves around a couple of ideas (Zelda 1-style rooms + potions -LOTS of them- as the only collectable and consumable items available) that I have never used (ok I already used potions; who doesn't! But this time, I am talking about like a hundred of potions or more, and in my game there will be only those: not weapons, armors, rings amulets etc); but again, graphics and sounds will be strongly tributary to my previous games, as well as algorithms for movement, projectiles, managament, and procedural generation. If I understood correctly this is acceptable, right? I hope so.

Speaking of game content. To define the project, I have created a spreadsheet with the potions I intend to make. I made this is to make up my mind, I mean, I consider this as part of "planning" phase... but ahem, I also tought, at this point, to make a direct use of the spreadsheet in the game as well, i.e. to import it as a Resource and pick data from it, just to save me the time of re-writing everything from scratch. (I have already used spreadsheets for game data that can be organized in such a way in 3 of my previous games, I find them very useful). Is doing so cheating the rules? Hopefully not...

2. How do *exactly* partecipate to the jam?

I signed up. Fine. Then, I have to start coding when the jam starts, ok... but WHERE? I use the Godot Engine. On my PC. Do I have to post the code as I progress, to show that I am coding only during the jam? And if so, where do I post it? Or there is something I am missing? And at the end of the story, how do I actually SUBMIT the project? Do I have to put it in my itch.io page? But even if I do so, how YOU will know that it is "my project for the jam" and not "some random project"? HOW exactly I am supposed to inform the organizers with something like: "hi there, here's my finished project, get this zip file, enjoy"? I didn't get this point.

Sorry again for the very stupid questions, I hope you won't get mad at me.  Best wishes to you all!

I see. Actually I made a Resource because I tought that things like those you propose could be customized by using multiple resources, instead of a single one with many many options. I tought it would have been more manageable to do so. At least, this is the use I intended to do in my projecta. But I'll definitely take into consideration your proposal. Thanks again for your precious feedback!

Cool!

And thanks for the feedback!

Shading would be interesting indeed. I am working on a model synthesis and wave function collapse resource right now, but I will definetely go back to this tool once I finish that.

Isometric... maybe! But in the future; I am in a top-down phase right now.  I love top-down so much.

Tell me more about custom styles, what do you mean by that?

Thank you very much for your comment. Your appreciation is very appreciated.

but really, I am already starting to design eotb2 ^__^

thanks! ᓚ₍ ^. ̫ .^₎
