Hey, from someone who wrote mostly positive comments, in my eyes, a GameJam is not a proper playtest of a game.

when I'm rating a game I prefer to comment on the positives and things I really enjoyed about the game.

We came here to have fun, and celebrate the making of games.

I'm always happy to give feedback when asked and I gave some when it was very needed, but for the GameJam i preferred to keep everything as positive as possible, and to commend people's amazing and hard work over the course of only 4 days, and not a full development cycle.

Getting too much constructive criticism in a GameJam where you can't update and fix things can leave some people to focus on what they could have done rather than the amazing accomplishment of what they did.

Great polish on the movement, dash and mechanics, I'm really impressed by how good the feel of the game is.

Other than that I'm a cat and I have a gun, I cannot complain.

I felt like dying was a bit too quick but overall enjoyed the game 😁

Really impressive for a first time, lovely work and grim take on the theme.

Visually really impressive, and a good entry!

Really fun little puzzle, really enjoyed the use of the theme and how each room's solution could need other rooms to complete.

I did get soft locked once but it was lovely nonetheless.

The art is absolutely charming and thank you for making such a fun entry!

Really enjoy strategy games and this was no exception, I agree with the comment below me haha, I was also thinking this was like chess in a way, where I have to use my energy to think about my next few moves.

It was almost puzzle-ish in a way Aswell trying to figure out every level.

Great work!

Such a funny take on the theme, loved the little cinematic after every level.

I was just excited to see what he would do with the tools I was given every level.

I think you absolutely nailed the environment, the psx graphics, the lighting, the mood, I may or may not have struggled a little since I felt like I was in a horror environment.

Boss fight was umm "dishing" some serious pain, can't wait to see how it gets more fleshed out when there's more work done on the game.

Good work!

I honestly had a very good time, very good puzzle platformer that fits the theme perfectly, and props on the level design, to me it was just the right amount of what the heck am I supposed to do here into - Ooooooh it was in front of me the whole time.

Also really love the background art, Super impressive.

Amazing entry.

Very very beautiful environment and atmosphere, especially in the intro/ending scenes.

I enjoyed the gameplay aspect of switching between forms but wish you had more time to do more level design!

felt like I didn't quite have enough to fully experience the mechanics of it but enjoyed the experience as a whole. And again I am shocked you managed to pull off that environment in such a short time, Well done!😁

Really enjoyed the comedy on this game, and absolutely loved the child-like drawings of the cinematics.

Really cute take on the theme.

P.S if you were using Unity Text Animator asset by Febucci please feel free to DM me and I can help quickly with the issue where the text appears for a frame before the new dialogue enters.

I really enjoyed the art style and I think this is a great interpretation of theme + a very good game idea.

The only I didn't like is that the game played itself a bit for me, I was really trying to read into what they were saying to see if they fit the description but then I had the whole info written down for me in their file.

Well done on a really really good entry :D

Sadly the game wasn't really working for me and the turret was kind of going crazy, but the art????

The game looks and sounds amazing and I wish I could fully experience it, but great work nonetheless!

Really impressed by the game design on this one, I love tower defense games and this scratched the itch.

Only thing to say for me is that too many things that use the same currency gives me a really hard time to choose.

I absolutely enjoyed the money making though, money go up = dopamine.

Really enjoyed this all around though and thank you for making this.

This is one of my absolute favorites for the jam, From the polish to the Down well vibes, and literally everything I think this game is incredibly impressive and I am amazed it was done in a jam.

Was so fun following your progress pictures in the discord, and finally playing the full game.

Amazing work.

Gf made me play this , 10/10.

I am obsessed with the walking animation of the little guys, and the 3D ANIMATION???.

really really cute game and amazing work.

Did you also make the music?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head, our interpretation takes an approach where an inevitable and certain death was an opportunity to use the time they had left.

Really glad you enjoyed our game and thank you for the comment!

Wow, really impressed by how much was done, and by a single person???

Love the unique combat mechanics, the vibe was giving me turn based RPG, and then it's OSU???

The heal was my girlfriend's strength since she's a veteran at dead by daylight but my favorite part was watching her "attempt" the Hellfire.

Really on point with the theme and a very enjoyable game.

Very relaxing, short and sweet game.

Needed my girlfriend to explain to me that I have to fix the cracks in the graves, 10/10.

Theme is absolutely genius, It's like so obviously good for this but at the same time never even crossed my mind.

Gameplay was super cute and refined, really enjoyed this one.

I really like this game, the gameplay was extremely enjoyable and I like the idea of persistent upgrades, Kinda makes you appreciate what you got after you restart and are much more powerful.

One piece of feedback, I think the whole sacrifice -> restart sequence until the next , is a bit slow considering how many times we do it.

The wonders you can pull with simple shapes.

The only thing I thought about when finishing the game is that I wish there would be more.

Very polished and extremely addicting, thought to myself ill only give it a try, but as soon as I upgraded anything and saw the numbers go up I knew I needed to finish it.

So happy to have found a cooking game! super clever use of the theme, and all the minigames are so so cute.

Did I mess up the recipe 3 times in a row? maybe...

Especially enjoyed the questions in the 3rd stage of the interview, very thought provoking.

I'm sorry I didn't really manage to win the fights as the controls were a bit confusing to me, but I was extremely impressed by the amount done in a jam, the fight mechanics were so cool and i loved that there's sort of a "mini game" for every ability and timing guards.

I just think it's extremely well done.

Visually incredible, with amazing game polish, the fight sequence itself really amazed me, and the story was fun.

Mechanically a very fun "dicebuilder" game, became a lot easier when i realized the right 3 dice are the moves my opponent is going to do haha.

Loved it

I'm amazed you were able to make a rogue-like that feels pretty fleshed out mechanically, and on top of the procedurally generate the dungeon.

Extremely fun (and brutal at the start) experience, played for like 30 minutes straight and had a blast.

Really cool entry

I'm really taken back by the environment and the atmosphere you created in such a short time.

Immediately from the screenshots I could tell this game was going to be beautiful, and it was even prettier when I played it.

Haha the voice acting when I got caught I felt like the dev caught me instead of the skeleton.

Really cute game, did not know you can do this with RPGmaker so this was really cool to me.

Really charming entry💛

Omg your game immediately caught me *wink wink fishing joke* and I loved your vibe with the silly agent music .

Here's mine :D

Thank you!!! we worked really hard on the polish so I'm glad it is being noticed :O.

Thank you so much for the kind words, so happy to hear you enjoyed our game!

Hey! me and my girlfriend made a short narrative game for this jam.

https://xmorrow.itch.io/untilthen

We love seeing people play this so this would be such a lovely experience to watch.

Thank you for doing this even if you don't play our game!

Initially I was a bit confused as to how this fit the theme.

I then understood and proceeded to play until I finished the game.

Incredible polish and loved the art style, did not expect to see an incremental game but I was hooked.

Really cute game, the atmosphere, the backgrounds and the story were really lovely.

Very impressive especially for a first jam!

(I wasn't sure if anything is supposed to happened after you click the end object, or if the black screen signified the end)

very nice concept, we actually went for something similar with the looping so i love to see more of it.

The juice was really impressive for 3 days. love the game!

At first I thought I was just in for a ring blacksmithing game which already had me hooked.

And then I got to the second level and I loved it even more.

Great concept with great art!
