After an hour of play and my friend poking around in the files to see where key 7 was, we were unable to beat it. Disappointing.

The 8 digit code is 10051981 btw. not like it gives a key

Most of the gameboy style games I see on itchio are .gb files so I assumed it was common enough knowledge. My mistake.

Ah that's a mistake on my part oops. I'll add instructions but you have to unzip the file and then play the .gb file on a gameboy emulator.
