DigDug - great game

Needs a money sink, and an/or end screen if you clear the out level.

The heart beat mechanic is helpful early on, but quickly loses importance. 

Is it possible to use this to keep track of globally shared stat? Similar to the "Total Deaths Worldwide" counter in Dark Souls 2.
