Shift D turns on debug mode.
I've been thinkin this for a long time, all the way back to the 80's with " WonderBoy In Monster Land" for the SMS, such a good game, but wonderboy basically walks into monster land and just starts slaughtering the shit outa any monster he finds. They arent even atacking him, they are defending themselves. There's no implied connection between any of the bosses or the monsters along the way, and every boss is behind a door so he's just busting in and saying "Gimme the key and all your gold", so in the end it's " you just walk into the land and kill everybody". Great game tho but my pre-teen mind had a problem with the plot.
I can confirm that the game is always 100% solvable, and it's always possible to get a clear 100% screen BUT you do need some luck, especially in the early parts. you NEED to find the extra experience point chests sooner rather than later, you need to get some lucky shots in the early/random phase, and you need some luck to get the nome as early as possible BUT after you get up to 8 or 9 hearts it's purely a matter of skill to kill the dragon. I can't count how many times I messed up near the end because I'm getting tired and "brain no do math good no mo".
After I got good I used the cheat code to explore every question and secret, and still with total understanding of every aspect i STILL love playing to pass the time, truly a great game.
Also if you want the mouse stamp you need some SERIOUS luck not to accidentally hit a rat before you clear some space, or SUPER lucky to hit the rat king with the first few hits. The other 2 passive stamps are far easier to skill it out.
The creator addressed this with the big update. V1 wasn't phone compatiable, it didn't even scale to the screen, BUT this updated version is at least playable on mobile. They said that to make it 100% functional it would need to be an app, and still no word on if They are or will be working on one, I hope They do, this game is great and They deserve a little add revenue.
I'm super glad there's a debug trick, now I have answers to questions that would have been super hard to figure out the slow way. Case in point: Killing the Rat King does NOT count as a dead rat against the stamp AND I finally understand the deal with the knome, but you can figure that one out yourself
Some neet ideas here. I'm not sure WHY I like playing idle games like this, but for some reason I do. Having the R/P/S have their own points that have to be unlocked that have to be upgraded on their own before they can be spent on general upgrades... that's smart. I don't remember seeing this before, cute idea.
Ps, I like your alias, we don't like muffins round here!
