small game with an interesting premise, nice execution and it fits well with the theme.

spooky music added to the themes of the game, giving it a horror feel and keeping on theme with the whole vibe of it. also fun way to do the countdown theme with having to manage oxygen, akin to a health bar while also being similar to classic games, such as galaga.
fun take, and good entry even with the small bugs (more so the fullscreen but you are aware of it)

fun little puzzle game mixed with a shooter. the puzzle being how to move your character in a way that is ready for the next shot since you can along control your positioning and aim, but not when to fire.
unique take on the countdown theme, and overall fun.

really liked how the mouse followed the hand's position or relative to it. small little details but it's details like this that definitely add to an experience. overall enjoyed it and found it to be entertaining.

thanks, yeah the puzzles were more time consuming to come up with than i would have thought. having to make them alongside accounting for the potential colors and directions they could face definitely was a lot to be mindful for.
thank you for playing and glad you found it a challenge.

(1 edit)

the timer is a bit something i wanted to work more on actually, more so i wanted to mess with the idea that the ghost was bound to the place and whenever they tried to leave, something kept pulling them back, but given little time i couldn't figure out a way to do that more creatively without it feeling annoying. a weird balance.
but aside from that aspect, glad you found everything else about it enjoyable, thank you.

i considered it, maybe adding more of a clear understanding of the color mechanic alongside the idea of a counter clockwise rotation or even something to flip the colors around.
but thank you for playing and finding it a fun concept.

thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

enjoyed the game, fit the countdown theme in so many ways so that was done well. also the puzzle with it being nearly exact and precise in your movement was satisfying to solve when you did get to it.

had fun with the quick paced gameplay of it, and fit the theme well. like "keep talking and nobody explodes" but for solo and just overall face paced similar to wario ware games, overall nice.

i'm learning a lot of people struggled with the secondary colors so it was something i should have explained a bit more, so you definitely aren't the only one that struggled. glad you enjoyed everything else though, thank you.

thank you, and yeah i didn't have time for others to playtest to see another pov. i do believe the lack of a clear tutorial is a bit on my end for sure and the visuals to indicate objects were lacking. still glad you were able to enjoy it despite those flaws, thank you.

fun little game, the amount of mechanics was definitely impressive though for a short period of time. i finished it and had fun with it.

it's such an crazy thing that a game like this was made for the jam. in such a short time and fun idea, alongside while also fitting the theme fairly well by all accounts this is just impressive and quite enjoyable. well done.

i should have made some of the rules a bit clearer, but given only the four days i'm still glad with what i came up with. also getting stuck later is fair, i had the feeling a good amount would (especially since i was considering a lot of different angles in terms of the rotation mechanic) that it felt a bit difficult to balance.

glad you enjoyed it though, and thanks for playing.

i'm glad you found it relaxing, i know a few people that had... frustrations with a certain level, (lv 6 in particular).
either way thank you for playing and giving it a chance.

the ghost (Boo) and their sprites was me, just something simple and nice. thank you for playing and glad you found it enjoyable.

thank you, it was definitely fun messing with how to make the colors work as a mechanic. especially when deciding to have white only be the secondary colors (even though every color makes white in terms of light), i just decided to make it as just a unique mechanic.

even though the gameplay is very simple, it still fit the theme exactly. though the art and music were amazing, and the story was very interesting. overall a very impressive game overall. (once again, the art blew me away).

simple idea, a tad bit frustrating but overall was able to complete it. would have made a bit more sense if it started from 100 and went down, hence the 'count down' but overall an interesting and creative troll game, especially with it seeming quite simple on the surface and only a clicker only to throw you in for a surprise.

so i'll be honest, this is a pretty unique and cool idea for the game jam, a lot of ideas and mechanics implemented in them in such a short time.
the idea of being able to eat your previous deaths for more time is pretty neat, though i do wish there was a way to snuff out the light on purpose to plan for a future attempt instead of waiting it out.
also the fog of war or the darkness did feel a bit frustrating trying to navigate it especially when low on light, even with the lanterns lit up for landmarks, and the animation of the candle feeling awkward with movement.

but that's just me being blunt on how i felt playing it, overall though the idea and theme all fit extremely well in what it was going for. the light growing dimmer made sense due to an actual candle, same with the movement, needing to jump around, grabbing more candle wax increases the time, lighting torches up and wind killing you instantly or using fire to rise.

even if the gameplay felt a bit off, everything else about it all made sense in the situation of the candle. nothing left me like, 'oh that didn't make sense.' so in terms of creativity, very well executed especially when made in a very short time.

the pixel art was definitely of a high quality, the background music was simple and charming.

the game was itself was simple and short, though it was nice to see all the different mechanics implemented in the game.

i could definitely tell there is a lot more to be told and said with this story, but still the art style is really nice even if simple and the narrative could be for something interesting

still unfortunate there isn't that much to it, would have been curious to see the narrative and how the story would have been for this jam. at least something was submitted which has my respect.

art was good and so was the soundtrack. game was straight forward, mostly just clicking to progress and watch the narrative, akin to a book or visual novel if anything which not the biggest fan of... but that's just personally me, aside from that i enjoyed the idea of how the remaining days left also matched the amount of things that was done that day too. little details like that add to a game (also a little funny on one of the days there was one less clock to fix due to it being broken).

but nice interpretation of the theme and no obvious bugs from what i can tell.

thank you, the idea came to mind weirdly enough when i came across a bug before when first learning game dev stuff.

where it was like i was able to move through walls with WASD but the arrow keys had collision. so i messed with that idea and i turned it into this.

fair, yeah i did want to do that over time, each level introduced a different mechanic but with the lack of in game tutorial and without the color palette as a reference guide on the top right it definitely did hinder in the controls and learning more stuff.

either way thanks for at least trying it out and sorry for making it too confusing.

apologies, yeah i probably should have mentioned to play and start the controls are the space button and arrow keys on the main menu.

the fact you can break the computer took me off guard, at most i thought it would be folded so the way it was dealt with was a hilarious surprise.
enjoyed it a lot and finished all the way through, something satisfying and simple.

it was enjoyable, quick and to the point with a handful of minigames in it.

premise was an interesting idea, though i wonder if one's morality can go up in such a short period when you're doing it to avoid the alternative. overthinking that specific idea of it, but overall it was a fun and quick experience.

thank you, always been a fan of cute styles so i'm glad it appealed to you.

yeah i noticed that issue a bit too late, didn't have enough time for others to test it and when they got the chance to it was something i noticed. still glad you enjoyed it, and the door and wall thing came from a community quote that i recalled wrong, but it went something along the lines of "ghosts can't go through doors, it's not fire" and decided to make that as a fun little dumb mechanic.

thank you and that's fair, i originally wanted to include a color palette as well to show how each color goes into what but i just didn't have the time to implement it.
