this is really cool!! the cutscene at the end was super well done. you got me really intrigued by a world in such a short amount of time. i have so many questions about what was going on, but that's a good thing. well done! as someone else said, would love to see it expanded

the atmopshere, writing, and graphics are all absolutely phenomenal. i would give it 10 stars for presentation if i could. this is seriously insanely impressive for such a short time period. i loved the cinematic intro, it was really intriguing and immediately made me want to play the game. even the game page looks super polished and well done. the use of the theme is also really cool. i almost made a game centered around a lighthouse myself lol.

i do agree with the other reviews as far as gameplay goes- it isn't immediately clear where you're supposed to bring the ships. i'm guessing potentially the crate's cargo color corresponds to the color you bring it to? i'm not sure though, as my game also always froze after the first ship was saved and getting an upgrade. this has insane potential though, the presentation really blew me away. super impressive stuff!

thank you! hopefully the dialogue wasn't too forced, i wrote it all in like 15 minutes at 2 am lmao

thank you, the art is so awesome!! my friend did a wonderful job. yeah i noticed that the web version broke some of the text characters (*, -, :), and if you die while dialogue is happening it makes the next view lines overlap with it and turn into gibberish lol. i'm glad you had a good time with it!

i'm really glad that the difficulty is at a good level for a lot of people. i was worried that it was a bit too hard, but it seems that the level difficulty itself is good and that i just need to fix some frustrating bugs and adding skipping dialogue. thanks for the feedback!!

tysm!! i'm proud of the concept, it's such a silly thing that i didn't expect to work too well gameplay-wise but i ended up liking how it put a twist on the platforming. cheers!

thank you!! yeah, it realllyy needs checkpoints and dialogue skip, as well as some other quality of life and bug fixes. i'm sad i ran out of time to fix everything, but thank you for the kind words :]

the fishing mechanic has so much depth and is really enjoyable! i love how you can raise and lower the hook to try to get bigger fish (although i don't know if catching bigger fish matters lol). the presentation and graphics are also really nice, i love the stylized look you have! it's very cozy yet still eye-catching, and it all comes together very well. awesome work!

i love the vibes here! i really really enjoy the music, and the cat talking sound is cool. really cool cozy little experience.

this is amazing! can't believe it was done in two days. really cool take on the isolation theme, i love how the civilian and military channels overlay on each other and you have to isolate the military channel. i also enjoyed just listening to some of the civilian channels lol. super well done, the presentation is awesome as well

really cool atmosphere and presentation! i enjoyed the story bits as well. there's just enough urgency due to the fire and monsters, and i really like the graphics. nice job!!

the level of polish for only two days is insane!! really cool take on the theme, the game feels buttery smooth to control, charming art and sfx, and a fun gameplay loop! top marks ^^

thank you so much!! i really appreciate the feedback. yeah the goat is so cute, my friend https://mangoscones.itch.io/ made the goat and all other sprites, she did a wonderful job. and your point about the controls is likely not a skill issue, i ran out of time to add coyote time and other leniency mechanics :c but i'm glad you enjoyed!! thanks again

everything about this except for a small hiccup is amazing. i love the concept, theme, presentation, and controls. the game feels very polished and high-stakes. really gives the feeling of threading the needle. however, i played for almost 30 minutes with no sign of the end, which gets a little tiring for a game with little gameplay variation. i eventually hit a mine and didn't want to play through 30+ minutes of the same again without knowing how long it would take to reach the end. i had a fun time with this though!

really cool concept, i love the little bubble guy and the level design is really fun!!

(1 edit)

completely understandable, having to sit through the cutscene every time during testing was driving me crazy too lol. i unfortunately ran out of time to fix it, but i will add that once i expand the game after the jam! thanks for the feedback!!

thank you, celeste is actually my favorite game of all time!!! that means a lot.  yeah, i ran out of time to add a cutscene skipping feature :( thanks so much for the feedback though!

tysm!!! i'm glad you enjoyed. yeah, it definitely needs some gameplay polish and quality of life. thanks for the feedback!!

awesome! what's your team's game? i'll check it out

got it, thanks! sorry i missed that in the rules

i saw that there is a 6 hour grace period for submissions, but i am unable to submit my game now. how do i submit late?

hey! i'm a novice programmer that's been developing for around a year- this is my first game jam, which i'm doing with my artist friend. i'd love to team up with you, but i understand if not as i'm not very experienced.
