Cool game! I love the music and the visuals. The shader needs some polish as lighting is a bit inconsistent.

I found a few bugs, and kinda cheesed the game by upgrading speed first. A nice drawback mecanic would be nice! Like, maybe upgrading speed also makes enemies surround the player, or projectiles bigger and longer range!

Really enjoyable base game vibe though so I'm glad you shared this :)

Yeah, the per-character restart used to be in the game's first version, and it might make sense to enable it on the longer levels, to at least have some sort of checkpoint. I'll mention that so we can maybe add that feature. Thank you for the review!


EDIT - I just realised that you meant the character switching with tab - yeah that is a bit unfriendly that you need to do it before moving indeed. If enabled during level, it might be nice to have a tab hold interaction or a pop-up with a switching character that you have to repress to confirm to counteract accidental tab pressing during level that would teleport you back. I see what you mean now

Haha yeah, the eggs should probably not spawn on water true, we didn't come across that yet. There was a branch where we tried to make an egg trash to dispose of rotten eggs but it didn't merge with the master so yeah egg-map interaction isn't really done

Hey, I did the drawings for the game. Thanks for your kind review, I'm glad you like the art style and the concept! The audio was definitely on our bucket list but we had too many merge conflicts so no one on the team had time to do audio :') I want the audio splats and eating personally
