THANKS LOLLIPOPBRO

fly

Thanks!

Sclard didn't stand a chance

W update

Yeah, so close to 30s!

I nerfed their placement in this update ya baby

aight

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Advanced strats I must say. You deserve it.

Beat me.

:O

Beat me. I dare you.

Thanks! I appreciate you for taking the time to give your thoughts!

Really enjoyable!

The controls are my biggest complaint as many other people have already mentioned. I don't really understand why you are able to zoom in and out, since I just always zoomed out immediately. I do wish there was some way to restart a level if you messed up at the beginning, so you don't have to wait out the timer. Otherwise, nice beats in the background, and the art style is nice. Nice job!

One of the few actually fun games that I've played! I played probably 4 or 5 rounds and managed to get 3rd on the leaderboard with a time of 3:45. I don't really even know what to say, other than that I'm impressed that it was done solo in C++!  The leaderboard adds a lot, of course, especially for people like me who love a competition. Great job!

1. Footstep and some ambient sounds would go a long way as far as immersion goes

2. The shooting feels good

3. When you lose, the game should reset.

4. I had to read the description to understand how to find the mimics

5. I wish that when you couldn't find the mimic, it would reveal itself in some way (doesn't have to be too obvious where it was as not to ruin the game for next round)

6. It was satisfying to kill the mimics!

Great job!

At first I didn't have any idea what to do and I thought that the game just crashed on load since I couldn't see my character or the rock (they were off-screen). But I kept trying and eventually pressed the arrow keys beginning my journey! I like the idea of having new abilities with each loop, and it surprised me when I picked up Rock! I just couldn't figure out what pressing 'c' did :(. Still, good job on your first "properly coded" game!

FYI, I get this error message constantly in the web console:

"ERROR: Error calling from signal 'body_exited' to callable: 'CharacterBody2D::_on_area_2d_body_exited': Cannot convert argument 1 from Object to Object.

at: emit_signalp"

Hey there! To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of this one. Maybe it's because I'm impatient, but I just bought a bunch of random plants and planted them randomly and got to week 7. This probably wouldn't be possible if it was balanced a bit better, although, my game is far from balanced, so who am I to talk! I wish there was an easier way to select your plants; there's a bit too much clicking. I am impressed at how many unique plants you got in the game though! Also, the art looks nice. Maybe the refresh button should cost a bit more as well. The audio was also fitting! With some improvements, this could be a great time! Good job!

1. Clever idea!

2. This would hugely benefit from audio.

3. It's fun to lure what's hunting you and then turn around after changing your color and pounce on 'em!

4. I got 85. I think you could easily add different types of fish with different speeds, sizes, and behaviors to spice up the gameplay!

Great job!

1. I'll be honest, I have no idea how to play. I couldn't figure out how to move the infinity ship, I would just sit there and die. I tried 4 times, each time pressing different buttons. Some instructions, even in the description would be nice.

2. When I died, the game just sat there and I had to reload the page.

3. It's a funny take on the theme though!

Happens to the best of us my guy

I got bored so I died.

This is very polished" The only critique that I have is that it's not clear that you have to move to the right to get paint buckets.

Also, I think I found an exploit...

(1 edit)

I really appreciate you playing! I completely agree; it's much too difficult to manage your sleep/hunger/potty (especially hunger). I so wish I had played through the game even just once before posting it so I could have properly balanced it! Thank you for the feedback!

:O

This has an aura of mystery. I really was trying to figure out what was going on in that town. I was definitely surprised by that spell that came from the sky! I ran into some crashes, but the game saved so I was able to continue from where I left off. Other than that, I really like the graphics and the atmosphere, and it's really cool that the NPCs adapt to your previous deaths!

I'm #1!

Actually, really fun. Here's my feedback:

1. Love that the music speeds up during the loop scoring

2. I didn't understand the placing sideways mechanic until later

2. I didn't realize that you could use RMB to move the camera so I played half my 1st game putting bones off-screen until I accidently left clicked.

3. Music is great, and the little mascot guy is cute

5. Loops are super satisfying to get

6. I'm not sure if I love the RNG

7. Sometimes I felt like I should be able to place a bone in a certain spot but couldn't. For example:

It's strange that later in the round I was able to place a bone in this spot, just not this time. (I could just be misunderstanding the rules).

8. I kind of wish that I could more easily see the grid (though this could just be me)

Anyway, I played for like 45 minutes and got #1 (for now) so I'm happy. It's a good bet to say that I really enjoyed this more than expected!

This is an interesting idea! I like how you incorporated the theme.

Here's my feedback:

1. It wasn't immediately clear that I had to collect all the yellow balls before destroying my past enemy.

2. It could have been easier to tell the difference between bullets and the yellow balls.

3. It took me a second to figure out what the "shift" key did, but it adds a lot more depth to the movement.

4. I like that your past self keeps the upgrades that you chose.

5. It was so satisfying when I upgraded my power enough to get the tri-shot.

6. I found that if I went fast enough in a round, my enemy would run out of moves and idle so it would be an easy w.

7. The music is fire.

I made it to Round 14 before stopping. Overall, nice entry!

It looks great, but I'm pretty sure that you are not allowed to submit an already completed game to the jam. This may be breaking the rule: "you shouldn't make stuff ahead of time that is specifically for this jam." I see that you published it on March 06.

Beat it!

Bet you can't beet me

Yup, just sent it to you!

Agreed, thanks for reaching out. I'll send a key when the next update drops!

I really appreciate this! I will certainly take all of this into account. Out of curiosity, how many total players did you play with? Also, by ladders, do you mean the tubes that you can slide through?

Hey this is really polished and neat! All that's left is a button select sound! I was wondering, what is this being developed in?

Cool take on combining Tetris and platforming!
