This game hit particularly hard for me because I lost my dog Arlo, who was also my one true friend, in the same way Meowmie was lost. The animal, the red paw prints, chasing me in the game felt symbolic and all to real to the actual monster in my real life story who changed my life forever that day. At first I thought that having to traverse through monsters just to get food or medicine was a commentary on growing up in a household where the duties of the pet fall on your (the kid's) shoulders, and the adults don't do anything to help like they should, so it feels hopeless when you're a kid and your pet gets sick. I thought it could be interpreted that way as well, and I heavily relate to that experience, though I see the whole picture now that I've finished the game. I don't usually get emotional at games, so this was surprising, but it was just too similar to my real life story.
As for the game itself, the art and music are lovely and the tension and atmosphere are very well done. Not overdone, but pretty spooky. Very good.

Can someone help please? I lost my progress after my page refreshed and I was almost done with the game. I tried to log in using my user ID but when I click "login" nothing happens. I'm on PC, Google Chrome. I'm not even sure if I have the correct user ID but I used some... API thing to get it? I'm not familiar so I don't know, sorry. I also downloaded the game and then tried it there, and the same thing happened. I also couldn't click "start" on the game at all once downloaded.
Please help as I love this game a lot and I'd love to finish it to play the second one! Thanks!
