GUIDE: SPOILERS AHEAD
The endings
- A boy's romance ending
- Make him your closest by graduation, and actually commit. A bit of scattered kindness isn't enough.
- The true ending
- Keep everyone at a distance. Never let any one boy pull ahead.
- Jason's dark ending
- Fall for another boy while turning down all of Jason's invitations.
- Accept even one invitation to avoid it.
If two boys are tied at the very end, the game picks one for you. Make your favourite a clear step ahead.
How a boy reaches his maximum (23 points)
Every boy can build up to 23 points of closeness with you.
For the one you're chasing:
- Accept his Chapter 1 date: +3
- Give the kind reply on that date: +2
- Cheer for him at the beach volleyball match (Ch 2): +4
- The summer-camp storeroom moment, if he's among your top three closest (Ch 2): +2
- A random one of your three closest is paired with you and gets it, so this is reachable but not certain in a given run.
- Help at his booth during the festival (Ch 3): +2
- Run with him from the police (Ch 3): +3
- The aquarium date (Ch 3): +2
- Name his gift your favourite at Christmas (Ch 4): +5
Total: 23 points.
At Christmas, you rank your top three gifts:
- Favourite: +5
- Second favourite: +4
- Third favourite: +3
However, only your favourite can go to the boy you're maxing. The +4 and +3 land on two other boys.
That ranking is usually what decides who finishes ahead, so spend your favourite on the boy you want.
Jason
Jason works differently:
- Once each chapter (Ch 1-4), he quietly asks you for a small moment together.
- Saying yes gives no points. It's pure kindness, but it's what keeps his story from souring.
- To romance him, earn closeness the same way as anyone else above. If he ends up your closest, you get his gentle ending.
- Brush him off every time and then graduate with another boy, and you get his dark ending instead.
- Accepting even one invitation anywhere in the year prevents the dark ending.
