Hmm… I'm not sure what's wrong. It works on my end.
Try clicking the window with the mouse to make it responsive. Then you should be able to use Z or Enter to start.
It would be nice if there were some sort of click-and-drag feature to use in point-and-click games.
Where in the game did it freeze?
