I had similar issues with other software on Steam; idk if it's related but I also had Windows Update crap itself on me. I had to do a clean reinstall of the OS to get the software and Update to work. Might be worth a try.

It's a false positive; I was able to download and run the game just fine, though manually through my browser instead of through the app. Is it some third-party antivirus that's flagging it as malware?

In any case, whether it's Defender or a third-party application (which you don't need 98% of the time,) they give you the option to pull something out of quarantine in case of false positives like this.

after agreeing to babysit at the office, you have to be in the living room at 1900 or 2000 for the actual babysitting event to trigger.

You need to work on Melissa's quest line. She'll be in the kitchen in the morning. If you haven't dealt with her at all she'll send you to the mart for milk. Then visit her at night in the basement, and then after a close encounter of the third kind while you sleep you'll need to look around the hospital at night. Next morning will unlock rippleton desert

Who all have you worked on? AFAIK access to Mary's house and the content there is locked behind other questline or event triggers

This looks really nice! Is there any chance of an .apk or native Linux build in the works, for those of us that dont have windows or mac?
