Just windowed mode is fine. I think that was what I was trying to find the other day.

I like it so far. That electronic background music and the humor of "Ow" after falling. Its great. I went back to buy it for a dollar after trying it even for a few seconds for free. Will play more of it later though as its late here.

Do add a settings menu and a pause screen that can access that though!

I did find this tagged under 'horror' and that didn't seem very correct, but I still love it for what it is.

TIC-90 sometimes hangs out on my laptop so I will try and play it more later.

Edit: Just read that the download version runs better so I am going to give that a try!


Edit 2: Got to Crumbling Room on the downloaded version. The jumping on the wall is a bit frustrating because of the lack of sound effects and the strictness of the timing. I do really like the mechanic of having to remember to carry the ball though, and I like the idea of difficulty (like getting the ball back) by being a time penalty too. Gonna play more later though once I calm down from the more frustrating jumping. Also I love how atmospheric the backing music is at this part though. I think it compliments the setting and mood well

I love the initial starting hook. Playing fetch three times and getting on the road. That tension and speculation whether I was already dead and ran over by a car or if the owner really was hurt. It is effective in making me want to play.

Edit: Turns out that wasn't scripted or deterministic as I was able to catch the ball before it went to the road. Still a good hook but I loved the tension of it being on the road during my first attempt

One thing I'd say is that on PC, the button prompts being mapped to controller is pretty confusing even when I know it's the controller prompt. It definitely should swap once it detects input from controller or keyboard so its not as confusing.

The controls still feel pretty decent though, although I am still early on (I want to play more of it!). Just gotta figure out why TIC-90 lags for me sometimes its probably something on my end.

(Found this game by searching for horror platformers)

I got lost and didn't know what to do and ended up bored. I didn't like the intro being a bit long before I got to do gameplay. I do like the 1-bit color scheme though :)

I also think having A/D for moving left and right when arrow keys is the intended control scheme seems wrong.

I can't wait to play the next update if there's one though! The idea has potential. I did enjoy shooting the dudes :p

I found this game by searching for platformers tagged Horror.

I love it! I didn't finish it as I got lost in the maze but the atmosphere and the premise, how the 3D dimension came up when I thought it was just hypothetical and scrolled down...

I enjoy this game a ton. Thanks for making it. 5 Stars

Its good. Part of me expected being able to pick up the ball with my ship (or avoid it as a hazard).

Still really like the aesthetic though.

Oooh I actually thought it was a mechanic (like, if u need more time to think you can click them).
I do like it either way though.

This is tons of fun and a well executed concept. I really like that I can just make the cultist thing giggle in order to give me more time to think haha.

I tried the browser version which worked fine for me :D

Kind of reminds me of A Hat in Time, especially with the 'gliding everywhere with double jump and fast acceleration'. That's a 3D game though.

Otherwise, I do think you're onto something. In high school I kind of made a similar type of platformer as you described but you're playing as a tiny RC car (hence why you can have slipper momentum and have so much control in your jump). I now want to explore that concept again since you're implying there is a demand for it.

Maybe we can start the trend towards 'vehicle based platformers'.
