Thanks so much for playing my game and sharing your kind words!

It was quite a challenge to get the simultaneous talking and gameplay working right. I'm glad you noticed!

Also, it's very neat how you offer a live translation of your stream. I appreciate being able to understand everything despite it being in Japanese!

The way the game feels like a cartoon in its presentation, from the large sprites and fun, detailed backgrounds, to the way the main character has to build up speed and is a little slippery when you turn, is such great fun. You can barely tell the game is made of "tiles" at all!

Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun with yours, too! The graphics look so impressively cartoonish with the thick borders and large sprites. I insist on playing RETRO mode, so I haven't made it through it yet in its entirety, but I will!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough comment. It's nice to hear all the things I tried to do with the game were successful. (For one player at least!) I plan to make a full game out of it eventually, so I hope you'll find it worth the wait!

Thanks for playing the game!

Glad you had fun! Pause button is a planned feature, promise. I just focused on other things for the jam.

Well that explains it then!

As a big fan of the original WarioWare, I really enjoyed this. The graphics capture the original's quirkiness while still being its own thing.

Thank you!

Oh! I didn't pay attention to the time really. I think it was less than an hour, but that's about all I can say with any certainty.

I was playing on an Analogue Pocket, so the vibes were there, but I imagine it's even more effective with the old non-backlit displays.

Really great graphic design and color choices. Also everything feels so snappy, I was convinced this was coded by hand before I saw GBStudio pop up in the credits!

Making a game in 5 hours is pretty impressive! I could see how a game with this concept could be really fun.

It reminds me of The Lost Vikings with how you have to take advantage of both of the characters' abilities to get through each level. I hope you continue to work on it!

Thank you so much! You're much too kind. I'm glad the difficulty felt right, as it can be hard to judge once you've played it as many times as I have!

I was impressed you managed to put together a game in 5 hours! That's a small window for a fully working concept.

Thank you so much! I'm glad the difficulty hit the sweet spot for you. I played each level so many times while making them, it's not always easy to judge what's hard enough, so it's good to hear!

Thanks! I liked the gameplay ideas in yours too! Controlling two characters together with unique abilities is fun.

The art is so polished and cute! I'm really impressed by how the visuals aren't held back by the Game Boy hardware at all. Great color choices too. I look forward to playing more.

Thank you! I remember yours too! I was really glad to see more of your adorable artwork put into an actual game. I loved seeing all the unique travelers showing up for their train tickets!

Thank you! The Game Boy Gradius games were definitely an inspiration. (Or Nemesis like the first one was called for whatever reason.) I hope to deliver more gameplay, anime twists, and comedy to fulfill this MAXIMUM desire!

The atmosphere is great, and I love the bits of foreshadowing throughout. The one "jump scare" representing a quirk of the old gameboy hardware was great. Immediately brought me back to playing mine all those years ago.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of your entry. I like how it cultivates a sense of unease as you wander the house.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed the love letter delivery. The drama and humor were great!

I loved this space opera-y adventure! I'm glad you managed to get it added to the jam. There are so many great effects here but I really enjoyed the computer screen readout; just a great evocative little animation.

Thanks! The rolly scrolly demo was cool too!

Thank you, I hope so too! I really enjoyed the artwork of the forbidden fruit! It was very polished and like a "real" Game Boy game.

Thank you! Hopefully I'll finish it one day. I really enjoyed seeing a day in the life of a cat!

Thank you so much! It really is a love letter to the Game Boy and my memories playing it.

Thank you so much! The dramatic introduction of the two fighters in yours was very cool and I liked the colors a lot too.

Thanks so much! And that is the question isn't it? Hopefully someday!

Thank you!

Your words are too kind. Thank you!

Yay! Thank you!

Thank you, I do too! Hopefully one day.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

The animation at the very end was surprising and chokes me up knowing the full context. I really enjoyed the fact this feels like a miniature movie.

If only the Game Boy had a fighting game with big expressive sprites like this! I thought manga-panel-esque intro was neat too.

I really enjoyed how the cartoon visuals came across even with the Game boy's low resolution. The parallax effects were also really neat!

Thank you! I loved your entry too!

I adored the style of the characters in this! I love the whole chase sequence and the crazy television visuals. I'd be curious to see what it was like before trimming for the jam!

(Also love the photo with your game on a cartridge!)
