Thanks for the comment and for playing! :) The issue with notes falling out of sync came up when printing out the web version and wasn't caught until submissions closed! Doh! ... but I'm looking forward to tuning it up later. Didn't even think about the "D-pad" matter! Interesting catch, whoops!

Thanks for checking it out! This is a bug resulting from an issue with a game clock that got a little jumbled when bringing the project to web. I'll take a swing at restoring it soon!

The color palette here is SO pleasant! Excellent work.

Thank you so much for playing. My approach was to tease a true-to-NES sonic palette (+ VO) then explore creative ways to broaden it with gradually more advanced digital audio - all while finding homes for the NES “instruments” to carry on!
