They're functionally the same as regular pop-ups in that they can appear on any monitor when they appear! If you have multiple monitors, they might have spawned elsewhere from your terminal :p
If so, you can lock Byte to a monitor with Tab and this will force pop-ups to appear on that same monitor!
We originally called the first text adventure "Byte's Brain Dance" because it was Cyberpunk themed, and it seemed fitting because of the second person perspective of text adventures!
I like to consider them different from cyberpunk brain dances in that they can be considered canon events in another universe :3
Ah yeah, that's just a little required quirkiness of the text adventure code! The collar you get from the clerk is a single inventory item the clerk possesses! Items in the world, if you can't take them, are there for examining and flavor :3
Financially, yes! As of right now, SubscribeStar is my only method of sharing early updates with supporters!
Apart from that, simply downloading and enjoying the project means the world to me! You can also show a friend or two if you think they'll like what we've done so far :3
And yeah, I watched a friend play around with her in passive mode, and she ended up making a collar on her own and then couldn't use ANY other items because she was getting screwed nonstop sjkhgsjkg so we definitely need to extend the refractory period on those guys!!
We can make sure that's done for the next update :3
There are just a couple things I can think of that might be the issue!
1. If you closed the terminal after putting in the password the first time, and then re-opened it, the password will need to be re-entered again 2. Item IDs might not be input correctly, make sure to do "/ls" after the force command to get the correct IDs
