Ah yeah, like MadiNotYourSon said! Items you right-click drag onto Byte to use them on her, or other items to make new ones!

Ah, yeah I mean we've floated a few ideas between us about doing different stuff with those modes! The text adventure was actually the alternative way to get the password because so many people were asking about the hint :p

Root access is a carryover from us testing the game so we could spawn stuff quickly, and it's not completely necessary for enjoying the pet, it's just dev commands!

The closest thing is the fake pop-ups that don't do anything except drop more items to play around with :3 and those only spawn in from spam mail items!

The biggest hint is in the Note in the apartment you start in, and you should try asking some characters about it! 

We all have our moments of weakness :3

They're functionally the same as regular pop-ups in that they can appear on any monitor when they appear! If you have multiple monitors, they might have spawned elsewhere from your terminal :p

If so, you can lock Byte to a monitor with Tab and this will force pop-ups to appear on that same monitor!

We originally called the first text adventure "Byte's Brain Dance" because it was Cyberpunk themed, and it seemed fitting because of the second person perspective of text adventures!

I like to consider them different from cyberpunk brain dances in that they can be considered canon events in another universe :3

Make sure you have Byte in focus! Click on her a couple of times or drag her around! If ` isn't working, try F2!
