Hey! 

I created this blog to document and share the findings of a weird game that a friend found inside a discontinued box of cereal from Chile. I'll be posting anything I come across. If you find something, please comment it! 

A friend of mine likes collecting cereal boxes and they recently found one that doesn't appear to be registered anywhere. The lack of a box design or any character made me a bit skeptical. But its weird rasin-flavored contents felt kinda charming, so we decided to give the cereal a go. Before we could taste it, though, we found a blank CD inside a paper sleeve. We assumed that it was one of those awesome (and sometimes bad) games that came inside cereal-boxes, so we went ahead and found a CD reader to play it.

The game looks like this and is astonishingly bad. The controls are weird, it's full of errors and the levels are absurdly hard. It feels like one of those rage games from the  late 2000s, early 2010s. We played for a while and decided to stop since it was getting late. My friend gave me the game in case I wanted to play some more of it, and since I'm a sucker for speed-running obscure games, I took it with me. 

Lo and behold, there's a lot of possible speed-running techs. There's so much to break to the point where it's actually exciting. I was able to skip part of the third level by going through this zone.

You can force the character through there by reducing your speed (press left and right really fast). When I fazed through, I found myself in what can only be described as the most beautiful pixel-art scene that I've seen in a while. It was a bit shocking to see the change, so I wanted to understand if this was part of the game or if it was unintentional, maybe some unused assets or a skip towards a later level. Then a recording started. It was a bit scary to listen (it's in spanish) and it feels incredibly personal, so I think it has nothing to do with the actual game and is a call for help or something. My guess is that the dev hid some rooms around the game as some sort of diary or just some creepy easter eggs. I'm trying to find the others, but it's kinda hard and a bit irritating, so I hope we can get a community effort here!
