Loved the funky vibe the whole way through! I loved how present the drums and low ends were but feel like there could've been more room for the melodies to shine. It didn't have any scrappy sounds in it but I could totally hear it as a soundtrack for a scrapyard level! Strong work!

Really enjoyed this one. A nice cohesive song, love how the tension builds throughout. I do feel some elements of the theme feel like you could've leaned into it a bit more. Really good melody work. Overall great job!

Very good sound choices for the theme. A lot of the percussive sounds seemed pretty chaotic but it did work pretty well with the theme. Loved the overall feel, good work!

Amazing job! One of my favorite submissions this week for sure.  The use of scrappy percussion works great and isn't too overpowering.  The main melody does get a little repetitive. I run into the same problem a lot because I love writing with loops. A way I found to fix that is to double the theme with octaves, doesn't work all the time but usually does the trick for me!

Great writing and performing! The only criticism I have is to watch your rhythmic accuracy, it gets ever so slightly off here and there but that's if I'm being super critical. Really enjoyed this one, great job!

Nice variety of sounds that all work together and fit the theme. I would just be careful with balancing the levels on your different parts, but strong work!

(1 edit)

Fit the theme pretty well. The drum beat and guitar riff was tight but a lot of the stuff in the foreground seemed a little random and jumpscarey, maybe finding a groove for them or giving them their own time to shine would do it justice.  Think this could be a nice backing track for a level tho.

Very nice, I totally feel what you were trying to do with the rats playing. Fits the theme really well.

Think you rise to the challenge pretty well, good choice in instruments and sounds. Think you'll thrive with the gambling theme this week!

The sounds you used fit the theme really well! Good melody work. Seems a little thin to me would love to see what you come up with with a few more hours put into it (not everyone has that luxury tho). Overall good work!

really liked the use of samples in the beginning, very immersive. sick guitar solo near the end. Everything fit the theme really well all the sounds seemed well thought out. Not sure if it was intentional but the whole mix seemed a little muffled to me, but honestly would make it pretty good music for a video game and such. Great job!

Thanks! really took some time to dial in that bend note glad to hear it came across well!

Really liked the change in time/feel around 30 seconds and you went back to the original feel pretty seamlessly.  metaly, crunchy, scrappy and epic. strong work!

Good work! Feel like the first 20 seconds or so was on the nose with the scrapyard theme, felt like we were getting some great sound scaping that really fit the vibe. After that it went into a beautiful shoegazey vibe which I loved but deviated from the theme a little bit.
