Here is my new, more detailed Dev-Log about the AI-related Art-Process, if you are interested. :)

AI-Generated Art – Original vs. Edited - The Nymph’s Laugh by Christopher A. Summer (itch.io)

(I'm not sure if I could have published this Dev-Log earlier, maybe the itch-io Jam-Rules and Interface just confused me.)

Thank you! :)

Thank you. :) I used the Text-to-Image AI "Stable Diffusion" (one Site I used was https://thumbsnap.com/gen), describing different Kinds of Scenes and Art-Styles by writing descriptive Sentences, and then the AI generated many, many Images (which took a While), from which I picked a Handful and then edited them in GIMP and Krita to match up and be more suitable as Adventure Game-Scenes (like flattening the Grounds manually on most Images, adding new Elements, changing Colors, et cetera). I'll make a more detailed Dev-Log about it as soon as the Jam is over and the Dev-Log Functionality re-appears for me. Thank you for your Interest. :)

That's a great Point, about them both being Strangers in a stange Land. I do feel for both Characters and wanted the Protagonist to grow by being exposed to a similar Situation she had gone through. You have formulated that very on point. :)

Sidenote about your Video, I actually thought of it as such that his Wife had learned his Language and spoke it when they lived together, but I get that I didn't convey that clearly. Thank you for the LetsPlay! :)

I have prepared a few Comparison-Images for a Dev-Log in which I'll show and describe the Edits, but it looks like I can't create any new Dev-Logs until the Jam's Estimation-Time is over. I'll comment again to inform you once the Dev-Log is up. But here's a Sneak-Peak. :)

Thank you very much! :) Yes, that is true, I was wondering whether I should let him say those two Lines in the Intro or not -- maybe I should replace them with something less specific.

In my Head-Canon, his Wife just may have tried to express Emotions different from what would naturally come to her, and in doing so, she messed up on both Sides... but if that were the Explanation, it would have to be said ingame, and that would unnecessarily complicate the Ending.

Thank you for pointing it out, I'll think about it. :)

Thank you! :)

Thank you! I guess I did a good Job with my Prompts and my manual Editing then. :)

Thank you, glad you appreciated it. :)

Thank you! :D

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

True! The Themes came from a fairly personal Place for me. Thank you. :)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! :)

Oh, that's good to know -- I'm new to the itch.io Jamming Business, so thank you for this Explanation! :)

Okay, thanks. :) Maybe I should mention that, just to avoid any Confusion, that within the first 24 Hours after I had initially uploaded my Game, I fixed it (in Part to avoid a game-breaking Bug), but that was still many Hours before End of the Submission-Deadline, which I assume would be allowed. I just wanted to clarify that my Question here about another small Fix after the Deadline (which I won't upload during this Month) has nothing to do with what I fixed before the Deadline -- just to avoid Confusion.

Okay, no Update then. :) I suppose once the Jam-Evaluation is over, I would be free to make Updates again, just not during the Evaluation-Month, right? :) In which Case I can just wait with that.

Thank you so much, Johnny! :)

Thank you! :)

Hi, today I realized that it might be better for my Game if it did not start immediately with an Intro-Cutscene but with a still Title-Screen that prompts the Player to "click to start" before the Game really begins -- a small Detail that I think would be comfortable. I have quickly implemented this Functionality in my Build but I'm not sure if it is allowed to update the Game-File on the itch.io-Page once the Submission-Deadline is over and while Evaluation is still ongoing. It would only be this very small Change about the Title-Screen, and wouldn't affect anything else about the Rest of the Game. Would that be allowed?

Thank you! :)

Thank you! :)

Played it and enjoyed it. A few Bugs and cut Corners here and there, but overall a very nice and pretty professional Feel to it. :)

A very nice little Experience, with an overall quite pleasant Feel to it. There are a Lot of very nicely done Elements, and although some Corners obviously had to be cut to get it done in Time (e.g. Cat goes *pop* ^^') and also a bit buggy in some spots, much of it feels quite professionally done. :)
