So... Contrary to a couple of comments I've seen, I don't think it's necessary to remake this section of the game again since it has a pretty fun concept. Although, it would definitely need a couple of adjustments so as not to frustrate the players more than necessary (I know that is one of the objectives of bullet hells but knowing that we are mainly playing a mystery and investigation game where many people are not used to to this genre...)
So; What could we do to make this part of the game less frustrating?
First, assuming that all the culprits are going to have a similar first phase to each other, i think there is no need to change anything
In the second phase the biggest problem I found is the super attack that Eva launches, it has very little or almost no space to pass between the bullets, forcing you to take damage. My idea is simply to increase the space between the bullets, the other attacks are fine and it is just a matter of learning them.
In the third phase it is more of the same, just increasing the spaces between the bullets would be enough.
Miscellaneous ideas:
- Maybe nerfing a bit the bosses healt
- Adjust the character's movement speed (By briefly pressing a key to move, the character advances further than desired)
- Adjust the character's hitbox to make it a little more forgiving
(And just to inform you, there is a bug which, when spending the entire concentration bar, does not regenerate over time)
I LOVED this first chapter and i am really excited how is going to develop the second one, keep the good work!
