I'm having some trouble playing this game. When I get to the "random encounter" during the tutorial I get an encounter about a tuna fish and two decisions, one that requires two workers on the fishing deck and another that requires having a harpoon. But since neither are made by the tutourial I can't select either option and I can't leave the screen or progress the game.

If I restart the game and assign two workers to the fishing deck then the first option in the encounter can be clicked. But when I click it the game restarts and plays the opening cutscene. When it ends the screen goes black and you can't do anything.

So I can't pass the first encounter and each time I restart I always get the same tuna encounter so I can't progress the game or play it any further. Am I doing something worng?

Thanks for your detailed response to my questions I appreacite you taking the time and giving me an insight from your side of the games industry, its really useful for me!

Hi, I was wondering if you would consider expanding on some of your points. I play games on the internet and agree with your point about misleading commentary. I would find it valuable to get a developer's views on this.

Could you expand on what you mean by, or maybe give an example of, showing spoilers: do you mean things like showing the main bad guy / jumpscare in the thumbnail or showing the full game and ending meaning the viewers don't have an incentive to go play for themselves?

Also, do you think there's any distinction between videos that just walkthrough the game with no commentary and videos that do commentary over them? Do these two types of videos present different issues/problems for games and developers?

Any insights from you as someone who makes games would be very interesting for me in understanding and navigating this dabate

Thanks

Awesome little game and super fun! Great to see sword and blocking combat among all the shooters today, its very professionally made and smooth, I know I'll be replaying it again

Very fun little game indeed, I really like the different bad guys and how you had to employ different tactics for each and the different environments of the forest and the cave. Only flaw I found was in the cave after you get the key, if you die you will respown at the enterence which is now your goal meaning you don't have to carefully escape the cave. If when you picked up the key you respowned where the key was, this would be better. But that's a very little point in a very enjoyable little experinc!

A simple little game but quite fun trying to work around the enermy to collect the keys, it's fun trying to beat it. Yes it's simple and bare bones but I still liked it

A simple and nicely made game with a fun machanic to learn and beat, and I really liked the way it gave you tips when you lost. Nice set up and exercution and a fun way to spend 10 minutes, I highly recommend

No problem at all, once the video is edited I will share it with that email address and you should recive an email with a link

I did indeed make a video on the game. I hope to have it uploded publically within a few weeks, but if you would like to see it sooner (to get feedback and check for bugs etc) I'm happy to share the video privately with you before it goes public, that way you could see it within a day or two

Everything from these developers is awesome and this is no exception, very nice grungy environments that change-up often enough to keep things interesting while you explore a very well told story. So stop reading comments and go play the game, you'll love it, then play their other games, you'll love those too!

I'd like to play the game but when I click the link to the google drive I get an error message saying the URL is incorrect or the file no longer exists. Can the game still be downloaded?

An excellent game by a very talented team of developers. This game has a very detailed environment, a nice story with unexpected twists and overall is very fun, give it a try its really good!

I tried to play this and enjoyed what I saw, however every time I tried to load a save, the game killed me and reduced my health to zero. It also crashed lots of times. The flickering lights also gave me a headache. Which stopped me getting too far into the game. But the enemies were interesting visually, the sounds were good and the environments were varied. But having to restart the entire game after each crash or death got frustrating. But it seems very good, just hard to play.

The light switch puzzle seems like it can only be solved through trial and error. Personally found that rather annoying.

It could use some audio based atmosphere

This is an excellent story driven horror game. It lives up to the high standard of story telling Crux Games have, this is a worthy successor to their past projects. And it's great to see a studio innovate and develop their style and abilities. If you like a spooky story, you'll like this and the other games by Crux as well which are also very impressive.
