Awesome work! Take a break

1.19 - [Bug]

Parasite mutation menu - White parasite canal mutation graphics and clickable missing on male path

Would love to get this game but aren't going to hand over ID to buy it. Will you be selling it here or anywhere else besides Steam?

Don't use the PC as the main breeder, the game is fully playable with minimal PC infestation.

Or use the Cheats in the menu

Maybe the most basic rogue-like feature would be something that tracks avenues explored, somewhat like Detroit; Become Human?
Then have some "?" items for the areas unexplored?

We are just memory holing anonymous' MS Paint artwork for the "Untitled parasite game"? :D

Would you like a whole mega list or dribs and drabs?

  • ckramen
  • Trixy_the_Spiderfox
  • orionart
  • InCase

If you could get art from them, even if it was incredibly slow in terms of Patreon etc Vs cost, that would massively elevate the project. Other artists we could look into are the ones that contribute to

  • Seeds of Chaos
  • Ravager

Only 653 paid members, $300/member required. Perhaps if we do a community drive we can get more people to sign up to the bottom tier... though that would still need 67k people where there are currently 3.48k following the project on Patreon ^.^'

This was a significant leap, great to see!

Regression since about 1.06, definitely in 1.07, was the fix to prevent soft lock from paratisising someone early when the story demands a parasite fills an empty slot.
I believe you had it to allow the story to continue but ignore the newly added parasite? Can that be restored because I'm soft-locking progress quite a lot right now

Heimlich was very cool! :D

That's awesome!

They are special events tied to two characters. You will be tipped off which characters by the colours tied to their events. You infest them each with a cyan, then events will change those to other colours.

(2 edits)

1. Candy store 4th tier breaks at "Stick around and see what happens", clicking the link doesn't do anything. That said, awesome storyline!

2. Infesting Diana with Blue at the sauna results in being able to re-trigger the event but it freezes when you can't give any more Blue because the slot is filled

2 continued. The issue seems to be the game code can't handle a scene where the player is required to insert an item into a contextual story slot. So I've thought of some solutions.

  1. Skip scenes that would overwrite by having scenes tagged with what slots they affect then comparing that to the current state of the slots of a given character.
  2. Handle scenes automatically when they have a slot, they check the slot of a character in the scene and if the slot is occupied either act as if the player filled the slot an clicked or place a "free" item in the slot for the player to click.
  3. If the above can't be handled gracefully then compare the affected slot to the character, if the slot is filled clear it or have the apply script clear the slot when clicking a scene progression button, and let the player drop any correct item into the slot. The bonus of this course of action is the player can reassign slots based on the story progression. This may affect difficulty balance and result in edge cases such as changing a male canal from the correct colour to any wrong colour.
  4. Handle scenes very gracefully, this should probably be left until RC1.0 is reached. Once the game and story are largely resolved then account for desirable combinations and create a per-character map and slot combination rules table for the gscript to check when indicating to the player what items are allowed or blocked from a dynamic slot.

Thank you for your continuing work

To run it on Linux you download, unpack the first .zip and the .tar.gz file, then run ./Clangen in the main directory.

To run on Chromebooks you can go into your Developer settings, enable Linux, and then follow the above instructions though your mileage may vary if you can't understand where your ~/Downloads directory lives

Guide here; https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/install-linux-on-your-chromebook

You can also use the website, instead of complaining that it might be a version or two behind please give some money (€1-5) to the developers to help give them the resources to keep your fan game going.

Sweet start to the game in this genre!
