One cent thought :

w,a,s,d does not appear to be the best choice anyhow.
This is not common to every country keyboard configuration :

UK/US : QWERTY

FR : AZERTY

DE : QWERTZ

At least arrow keys are common to everybody and avoid to handle specific case.

And for the author, thanks a lot again for bringing this one to us all.
