This is by  far the most relaxing and satisfying game I've played, and I learned a lot doing so! Thanks for submitting it!

Hey, it would be awesome if you could add QWERTZ support (the only difference is that Y and Z are switched) !

Hey, do the models have any license or can I use them in a paid game? I'll make sure to credit you of course :D

Godot now also features .fbx imports, so you should be able to use them now.

There is a Linux file in the Downloads. (This is the old version btw, the new one is on Steam)

So I played through the whole game multiple times and I think its now time for a review, so here you go :D

What I like about the game/ what makes it fun to play/ what makes it special:

- The main menu: The simplicity and the fact thats a 3D/2D combination makes it look really beautiful!

- Build/Upgrade/Sell System: Its great that you  can sell Buildings after placing them, it really helps in the end. Also, the upgraded Towers look fantastic.

- The Money- and Wavesystem: Its really cool that you can see what  wave you are and how long it takes until the next wave spawns.

- The GUI: Even though its so simple, the UI/GUI feels really nice to work with.

- The fact that you can place Towers on the walls (Seriously, thats awesome and I've never seen any other tower defense game where you can do that!)

Things I would change/improve:

- The color of the floor and the path: Even though pink and blue isn't that much of a bad combination, the colors are quite bright and kinda distract from  the main gameplay. I'd make the floor a light grey and the path a darker grey (Then they also fit the colors of the towers)

- The way enemies and waves are done: Its cool to have a lot of different enemies, however only changing their quantity per wave doesn't really make them more difficult (after a certain amount of time all enemies except for the big red ones get destroyed right after they spawn because your weapons are too strong), maybe mixing the different enemie types and spawning even more of them/changing the multiplier would help.

Also, if a stronger enemie like the big red ones ore the boss pass through, you only loose one life. You might wanna change that, since you can't really loose right now. (e.g when you have 2 or more lifes left, you can just let the boss go through since you will win anyways)

- There is only one level; I mean this is just a small game, and one level is totally fine, but adding a few different levels would allow for some more differenciated gameplay.

Bugs I discovered while playing:

- You can't place turrets under the UI elements, since everytime you click the build-mode gets disabled.

- ESC doesn't work, since ESC is used to minimize the Web-Player (you could use something like Enter instead)

But overall, this is a really great game that has a lot of potential for the future!

Well done! :D

A really good game, I especially love the sound design, the only thing that I'd change is the fact that text boxes can appear when you're in mid-air, which can get quite annoying. But overall, a great game for a game jam!

Yea a windows version would be great

Great game with a great look and feel, the jetpack/boosting kinda mechanic was really fun to play! :)

Hey :)

Thanks for the review, we will definitely add a tutorial and a few more levels, we just couldn't do it within the time limit of the jam :D

A great game, it was really fun to play!

Yea but what he wanted to say was when the game leaves its' alpha state it would be cool if it was still free

Yeah you can go to edit game and then if you scroll down a bit there is like a release-state thing where you can change it :)

First rating ;)

great game btw, the levels are just really fun to play through

(1 edit)

Overall a great game, really enjoyed playing it!

Just one question why does it say 'released' if its an alpha demo?
