How will steam load my mobile progress?

I see its finally out. My question is if I purchase it through here for the mobile will my progress reset or will the update just patch it? if my progress resets I might as well get it on Steam.

I see the proffesors say "not in this version". Im assuming thatll be in the next update. Now my question is will I have to re-download the game once the new version is out or what? (Mobile)

So far ive been enjoying the game. Only complaint is that before the 7.3 update on amdroid i had all the images, now there are some missing. Ive completed both haileys and annies but there are still a lot missing. Will this be coming soon btw ive been playing in android.
