is there a way to turn off the screen shake? I don't see it in options

Getting my stipend changes my money to $NaN, keeping me from buying anything else. Also, although I start with 3 staff, they can't be assigned as researchers, so they're effectively useless.

I can't go back to the sky island. I have to wait for the timer to finish ticking down (which drops the tree from my inventory).

"go home" button doesn't work when you're at the foot of the ladder. Also, music keeps coming unmuted, and there's nothing to mute sound effects.

The fact that you can pick up and add sugar cubes but sugar isn't a real ingredient confused me.
