You certainly captured the ideal for living in the north! Living through winter can be just fine if you do things right, otherwise it gets expensive - namely, heating and having your driveway plowed. Shoveling also sucks, particularly when its wet heavy snow.

BUT, if you have a wood stove or wood furnace, those are great for heating during winter. Only downside is stacking the wood, which I personally never minded. It just takes a while but its also exercise, so that's a plus. If you get a four wheeler with a plow you can plow your own driveway and if you know how to work on it you can fix it if there's ever an issue (older models are better because the parts are cheaper and more abundant, and there's less electronics and more mechanical parts making repairs WAY easier.)

If you ever decide to move further north, just plan ahead and you should be fine! It's a bit more expensive, but overall manageable.

Hi there! Really enjoyed your Visual Novel! This felt so different from what I typically find for furry VN's on Itch.io. A real breath of fresh air! I love the chemistry between the MC and Timber, and really enjoy the whole atmosphere of the world built within the game/story.

As I was playing, I couldn't help but smile at some of the smaller details of the game.  You're absolutely free to not answer this, but I wanted to ask anyway: Do you have experience being outdoors or live in the North East? I'm from the North East and I couldn't help but connect to this story. The forest setting with the themes of hunting, fishing, shooting; Talking about how the cabin isn't well insulated, and especially the mention of seasoned firewood. I couldn't help but wonder if you yourself have any experience with any of that. If not, you're very, very good at capturing the theme! This comes from someone who grew up and pretty much lives in that kind of environment.

I also wanted to ask about Timber and the MC's age? Do you think that will be brought up at some point in the novel, or will that be left up to personal interpretation?

I kinda hope it goes in this direction and Haruki makes up for it later on. I guess what I'm hoping is happening  is that Haruki, having a bad home life and father figure, doesn't know how to be a good boyfriend and is still learning. Then Yuuichi makes his realization that he's not OK with what happened and communicates it to Haruki, and then Haruki makes up for it in some way. 

At least that's what I hope happens lol.

As much as I love Haruki and his route, I'm not gonna lie, I think I kind of got my feelings hurt? I was really enjoying the romance/teasing stuff throughout his route because it was so wholesome, so this update kind of threw me off. No shade to the author, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

I'm hoping that this is more of a "bump in the road" and maybe it will be smoothed over later on by Haruki, but I also was a bit disappointed in Yuuichi's reaction? I just figured Yuuichi would have been more emotionally invested in Haruki at this point where being used for sex would have hurt his feelings. I know it hurt mine lol.

I did appreciate the ending of this update, though. The fact that Haruki came back to say goodbye to Yuuichi and check on him was nice and felt good.

Hi, Paul. I have the earlier 0.6.7 version of the game. This is the earliest version of the game that I have from when I first played it 5-6 years ago. I archived and uploaded it to google drive for you.

This is however the Linux version of the game.  If you are on Windows or Mac you will have to find a way to run the .sh file.

I have not used either of those platforms in a very long time so you may have to figure out how to do that yourself.

He said about eight days ago or so on Patreon that Khemia will resume being worked on. Well, more specifically it's being re-released.

Here's what he said:

"Hey everyone, this is Howly. Sorry for the long silence from a couple EP projects these past few months. Quite a bit has happened involving a family member of mine, and I am currently in the process of helping them through it. I will likely go into more depth in the post for the final Arches build, as the concluding build has been very much impacted by this experience. Look for it to release this weekend. We're aiming for the 15th.

Now, as for Adastra news. Me and Haps are currently working on Khemia again. While Interea will continue to have sporadic releases, Khemia will be the main focus. I am eager to get back into the main story line and I always felt Scipio has a really interesting story to tell. Shortly after Arches is released, I will re-release Khemia with story alterations. It turns out a lot of themes I wanted to explore  in Khemia ended up getting explored in Arches. I'll likely end up incorporating new themes that I find interesting, however, the main story beats, will stay the same. Hoping to have the re-release out in May"

Has anything been said about the delay? I don't think it's been this long before.

Is this Visual Novel on hold indefinitely, or temporarily? I can't remember if this hiatus was suppose to be permanent or not.

Are you referring to Khemia, too? because I believe Khemia  is on hold indefinitely from what I've heard.

WOTB is in college, so he has things like midterms to worry about. His personal life gets busy so that can cause delays in updates.

It comes out early for people who are following him on Patreon, but yes he eventually  releases it on here for non-patrons. People are saying Jun's update should be out on May 20 (a couple days as of now). This one took a while as it got delayed.

It's VERY bittersweet, I'll say that much.  

Just played day 30 for Jun. Wow. Wont spoil anything, but it's a ride for sure.

Adastra is the very mainstream VN. Everybody pretty much knows about if you check out furry twitter. Echo is popular because it was made by the same creator as Adastra.  The creator hit the jackpot when he made Adastra because it happened to appeal to the majority of people and thus became popular. I haven't played it, but I'm sure it's a good game.  

If it's not for you, then it's not for you. Nobody is making you play the game.  If you have enough time to make an account just to post this, you have enough time to be doing something productive.

Finished the current end of Jun's route.   Feels like the game is really starting to tread in new waters. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I think when it's finished, it's just going to be the three characters. I'm not the developer or anything, but that's what I imagine it will be. We've barely seen Phillips route, so he'll be interesting.

There is another one I played before this one. It's called "Repeat". Just a note: The game is incomplete. The Developer is currently working on another project. It's good imo. I thoroughly enjoyed  what he had completed.

How do I download the new release, and continue my route for Shoichi? normally if I download the newest release, and put the game folder into the same directory as the previous releases, I can continue from where it left off, but it isn't allowing that for me now. I don't mind doing it over so I can refresh on what happened previously, but I would also like to know how to continue from my previous save on the new version. (FYI I'm on Linux)

I'm not calling you out because I'm trying to be an asshole, but  because I don't want someone taking advantage of you. Most  kids who get into visual novels like this, normally end up finding themselves in communities like on Discord. And in places like that, there are a lot of pedos who take advantage of kids your age, and they get away with it. Just be  careful  when  you  give  away  information  like  your  age,   pedophiles                                could      message  you  making     you  think  they  want  to  be   friends,   and  then   next  thing  you  know,  you're  being  blackmailed. 

I don't think this is a game a 12 year old should be playing .  You would probably have more fun playing the new Modern Warfare game,  even  though  it's  technically        17+.

The ending was so upsetting, until I actually loaded it again and clicked the option in time lol (If you've played through Jun's route, you know). The cliffhanger is really unsettling though, so I can't wait until it's finished. Good work WOTB, you're good at what you do haha.

Updates are posted on his Patreon . Patrons get updates earlier because they're Patrons,  and  non-patrons  have       have   to  wait       longer.

It's Jun's update. It's on his Patreon, and I think Patrons get early access to updates. So  we'll have to wait, unless we were to join his  Patreon.

I'm not sure if there's a way to run it on iPhones. But as far as I know, Android emulators are available on iPhones, so you might be able to run it using one of those.
