For now the plan is that the demo will get an update insofar that I'll add the finished backgrounds to it, but after that I'll be working on the rest of the game until it's complete. Depending on how long it takes (or how big the game grows) that might change, but if it does I'll let people know in my devlogs!

I very much eventually plan to circle back to TSL (it's wonderful to know that there's interest!). both the story and characters are dear to me, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my little fantasy world sometimes!

to answer your question: affection points simply translate to how much someone will like you/their approval of you. for all the NPCs (Camran, Nira, Luthais, etc) choosing the heart options won’t lead to a romantic relationship :)
