Thank you for playing! We basically started our game premise with "how can we turn perspective complications into a puzzle", glad to hear you enjoyed it! If we pursue further development we want to find ways to give more reference to the depth without completely giving away the puzzle :)

Fellow ice fishing game :)
The fishing mechanic here is so so fun, it took me a while to get an understanding of it but once I did it was so satisfying to catch fish. It really is super engaging, one of the best I've ever seen. I didn't have time to finish the whole game but it was so relaxing, pretty visuals, super cute characters and writing, nice music and sounds, plenty of quests to complete, what a great time!
I'll keep it downloaded and go back when I have time and complete it! Awesome work to the team!
Thanks so much for playing and the feedback!
Do you think both auto view switches are annoying, or specifically the one after your fishing hook returns?
Fez wasn't an inspiration but you're the second person to mention it, definitely interested in checking it out!
The main inspirations that came up in our development were crane machines, the Club Penguin fishing minigame, and Captain Toad :)
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
If I could make one quick fix right now it would absolutely be the forced camera switch to the top upon catching a fish, I've played through it a few times and agree with you there.
For the depth perception, that's a feedback we've seen a few times and we've been brainstorming ways to give additional hints into the 3d space without completely giving away the puzzle. If we decide to expand the game after the jam, that will be our top priority! Rotating the side view is a good idea.
And completely agreed that theres a lot more to be explored in the level design than we did here! Really like your ideas!
Again really appreciate the detailed feedback here :)
