Was a fun little game to try out~

yeeee, thats where i found the game from~

managed to earn yourself another subscriber though

alright that managed to resolve it~
seems like an interesting game

fun little game~

not instantly obvious on how the rules work at first, so tutorial is a must, but its fun.

might be nice if there were little tool tips to help explain how things worked though

ok, to clarify my problem

I pressed left click, 1-0, esc, and enter in this video, nothing happened

(As an added note, the video was marked as unlisted, so it wont be seen in any case except when viewing that link)

So, on version 1.0.5
what exactly are you supposed to do on game launch?

on game launch, i see the grey background, and a black little square

I left click, right click, press w,a,s,d, press arrow keys, press enter, shift, caps lock, back space, ~, all the number keys, esc, bunch of other random number keys

non of it is doing anything, is this a bug or am i missing something?

(playing on windows 10)

isnt there supposed to be some kind of tag for ai on itch?

well, then finding this bug is a nice outcome of the absurdism of my first run today

No one was able to defeat me, until i found a leach relic at which point i drained away all my crates myself by turning them all into pearls

Enjoy the absurdity i got from this game's last update

though the new frog enemies with plated health seem to be slightly bugged

when they start with absurd health, like 30 health

then heal

they just reset themselves back down to 9 health, at which point i can easily just one shot them with the absurdity of my current run

ah, the heart cargo has been quite the mystery to me
the heart acting as a random unknown value from 0-100 would make sense, and would make sense as to why it would break seemingly at random for me

for newgame+, it'd be some kind bonus that you unlock after completing a game, then can choose that bonus at the start of new runs afterwards.

As a hypothetical example, there could be a few relics such as

  • extra supplys, you start the game with 1 extra supplys
  • spiced supplys, one of your starting supplys is spiced
  • armored supplys, one of your starting supplys is armored, but can only be rolled to be 1-3

then you might unlock these at the end of various games, and you can choose one of these boosts at the start of new games

newgame+ options that help streamline your starting setup in new games could also help

might be nice if there was a grantee to get a positive event of some kind after the first encounter, just to help get runs going.

curious how exactly the heart cargo functions

I'll see what i can make, still a bit inexperienced in programing though ^^'

This one was just to dip my toes and figure out the basics of how to make a simple project that someone is capable of running

<3

before starting my first match i was worried wit might be a bit over powered when reading the introductions, but from a bit more game play only getting to read my opponent every other turn makes it an important stat to build into but cant rely 100% off it
however when the enemy wit is comparable to my own i can kinda feel the struggle in not being able to counter their attacks, maybe it's just how I've been playing so far but it feels like wit might be on the powerful side

Endurance on the other hand i feel like is a bit on the weak side
4th match while cycling through all the opponents with only a 1 in endurance, barely matters, particularly with scaling hp from my level

I feel like some more tool tips on the exact statistics these stats are modifying would be handy.
maybe in combat you could hover over your hp stat to find out how much is gained by level and how much is gained by endurance
hover over wit and it tells you what your likelyhood of getting a read on your opponent is, or your opponent doing the same to you
or perhaps when dealing damage, hovering over the damage numbers tells you how much of that damage is because of  your strength

that way it'd be easier to make informed build decisions and feed back

Though so far, it's a lovely game~

i just did a quick little test, the link seems to be working for me

ah

yeah i think thats due to a discord update which doesnt let you make permanent server links unless your a community server, that probably means that link expired

nice hearing the game is still in development, pretty nice system so far

its an interesting game

2 things i think it could do for though
- bosses that respawn
- a bit of UI to help make the controls a bit more obvious

as is, the bosses dont seem to respawn, so if it were possible for them to respawn that would be nice.
once you beat all the bosses, it's just the little cheapo minions left who cant really do much or anything to fight back

then for the controls, as is I find myself coming back to this page to reference what controls do what.
so a little watermark on the screen to let people know what does what would be nice, as well as a bit of ui listed from 1-5 displaying what spells you have and what you currently have selected

the dev is still actively developing the game, just that they were doing a major sprite overhall which takes a lot of time, along with other things.

they have a discord link in this itch page

interesting game.
curious what the next pred your planning to add will be

ahhhh, the links in the game not in the itch page
thanks for the clarification <3

I think such a wedge would be fun to see added

it's a pretty fun game.
would be interesting to see a dedicated place to discuss the game or other projects the dev might've made (other then itch comments)

It's an interesting little game.
only complaint, it is incredibly hard. . . to lose.

I managed to beat both fights, then decided to see what happens if you lose
so i re-did the snake fight to see what'd happen
first 2 attempts to intentionally lose, i won
then the 3rd attempt the game bugged out as my snail nommed the mouse, then died on the same turn which confused the game

so i tried out the demo, and

the sfw version is not actually properly sfw
