I ended up writing a 1,400 word review on this, but in summary: so it goes is a very visceral and poignant insight into memory, body dysphoria, and the expectations of modern society, among other themes. Don't mistake it for contemporary absurdist works which can feel like they force feelings out of you through sheer mania; so it goes is uniquely well-paced, addressing a number of themes and motifs without feeling overwhelming when it doesn't want to be. It's a complete package that leaves you asking questions in a very deliberate way and feels like it's grown with the poet across its 4 years of development. If you recognize the anthology's namesake or feel something you can't describe when you listen to Radiohead's 'Fitter, Happier', you'll find a read worth more than worth $5 here.
