Thanks for playing!
I'm so happy to see that someone actually made it to the end! :D
Very good art style! I didn't expect that jumping can dig up certain crops, discovered by total accident. Speed boost and destroying rocks was a well thought out and powerful upgrade, good job! I think you could pitch up the digging sound as the player collects several crops in a row, it would definitely add that combo feeling!
Art style is so good! But the house just looks out of place, I think some sort of sci-fi building would definitely look better. It seems there's some sort of crafting system in the game, but I wasn't able to use it as the house overlay closed every time I tried to interact with it. Also, I think the plants should have some sort of HP bar.
Interesting idea! Great audio and art. I liked that the map is differently generated each day. The game would greatly benefit from more upgrades! Also, sometimes the creature spawns in the first scene after starting the day, so it's an instant shoot and it destroys the idea of searching for the animal. Also, I thought that the hole on the poster was an arrow and I tried to click it lol
Thanks for playing!
Picking the wrong crop by mistake was a problem that I couldn't quite solve. I had an idea about adding some sort of trash bin to quickly get rid of unwanted items, but it was scrapped as the player could get more tables to store items, hence less punishment for mistakes. Maybe giving the player 2 tables from the beginning (one for the watering can and one empty) would be a better solution?
Thanks for playing!
I got some feedback about controls being too cramped together, I think changing the interaction key from E to SPACE would solve this problem and would allow me to smoothly add arrow keys as a second movement option
Also, visual feedback is greatly appreciated. I'll take notes on item clarity in next projects
The collision problem is a terrible bug that didn't occur during playtesting, but it will be fixed
Thanks for playing! There’s a recipe book in the game. Each time you discover a new potion, a hint appears at the bottom of the screen letting you know that pressing TAB will open the recipe book. The goal was to encourage players to experiment and figure out different potions on their own, rather than giving them all the recipes from the start :)
Glad to hear you liked the game! I wanted to add more potions so you wouldn't end up with the same one multiple times but I just run out of time :P Also, the brewing system is extremely unbalanced, as I used weights instead of strict recipes, so it results in one potion being more common than another
